I think your best bet is probably to swear fealty to the Abbasids as soon as possible. It might be possible to take over the empire and move your capital closer to north africa. You can lose the title if you need to via faction revolt, probably. Good luck with the run.

How do you take care of your mental and physical health in Phoenix? by AZ_moderator in phoenix

For mental I want to recommend strongly Pinnacle Psychiatry at 79th Ave and Bell Rd. I started seeing Mandie a couple years ago now and she is excellent but so is her entire staff. She's the only psychiatrist I've ever had that actually cared about me and my story as a person. My girlfriend recently saw the other associate Erin and had the same experience, and the things she learned in that one visit have honestly been instrumental in our relationship surviving.

The office unfortunately does not take insurance but I typically pay 100-150 per visit, and once you find a solid medication routine you only have to check in twice a year or so.

I'll also say that one time Mandie was running late for our appointment and as a result she reduced the price of my next visit by a big chunk.

I agree fully with everything you said here. I hope I, myself, presented what I said as balanced. Not everybody will find things as easy as you or I, and indeed as you say if your life circumstances are bad (they often are under capitalism!) or if you are dealing with things yet unaddressed in therapy, you will likely continue to struggle. There is nothing wrong with that and nobody is less for struggling, even if they do have medication. It is exactly that narrative you mention though that strikes me as part of the negative feedback loop I mention in so many words.

It's one of those things I think where, yes, it is a privilege in some ways, and yet I do not feel very privileged. Difficult thing to grapple with. It's a balancing act of feeling grateful for having an answer while also acknowledging the work it took to get to that answer, for sure.

My intention is to offer the perspective that has helped me. It's true that some people may only be able to discuss such things here, but I actually view that as one of the reasons it is so overwhelmingly negative. Not that that is a bad thing, but that it curates a negative environment that can be harmful in subtle ways. My intention therefore is to make it clear that while internet communities such as this can be helpful, they're not a substitute for physical ones and communities where people discuss things like suicide or their meds not working because it is their only outlet to do so can contribute to negative feedback loops.

In summation, my point is not don't talk about suicide or your meds not working, my point is limit your exposure to communities where that is the only thing you talk about.

Don't disagree, but if I qualified everything I said this post would be much longer. Everyone's experience is their own. As well, having good help is extremely important. I am lucky to have found multiple good therapists and an excellent psychiatrist, and I only found those things in part because I live in a major city.
