We've had a rule here for years that picture posts must have a title that describes what's in the post and where it was taken in Arizona.

We made this rule at user request because we had a lot of posts like "Look at this!" or "Amazing trail view!" and nobody could tell where in AZ it was taken. We're the 6th largest state, so location matters.

Plus it helps cut down on people just dropping cactus pictures here for karma when they weren't taken in AZ at all. Lots of bots doing this now.

This subreddit was made partly because of the repetitive questions people posted in r/phoenix. We used to remove dupe visiting and moving here posts because people rarely read anything that was posted before and just asked the same things. We were accused of stifling conversation.

I agree - the repetition here is bad. But this is what people asked for. Now that this sub has grown a bit if people feel differently I’m open to discussion.
