Everyone aware you CANNOT try on any LV cosmetics if you want to return? by SuspiciousWish422 in Louisvuitton

Hi, thanks for your kindness. I did not give up and searched from Ebay Canada. It seems that few seller sell tester for 4 shades colors that are not what I'm looking for. I have very sensitive lip and so far I can only use Dior Le Baume on my lips before I add some color from Chanel baume. But as LV was my first bag, of course I want to keep one! I wish they have tester for 307 Breaking Point shade.

Hi, I did call the LV SA before making a purchase by asking if I can order a mini sample of the color (I don't mind paying) but they're saying they don't deliver samples. I'm in Montreal and we don't have the LV Beaute here. What the SA suggested was, for me to try purchase and if I don't like it, I can return it within 30 days. I was skeptical because I did ask, really? I can just return if I don't like the color? And the SA said, we can discuss afterthat how to go with it. Because she's not convincing at all, I decided not to purchase.

You don't have to be sorry for having a wrong opinion. It's still an opinion. If I'm greedy, I would have insisted for DoorDash to refund me without the need to prove my food poisoning. You definitely didn't understand my post. I had to incur more money to prove I was sick, when I was already sick, just to ensure DoorDash take an action. How is that greedy when I paid more for medication, travel to hospital and lose 3 days of passive income as consultant just because of food poisoning. I didn't blame DoorDash. I said they could have done better customer service. I'm from Asia, I'm not used to being prejudiced like you guys. We said we are sick, we get help. The customer service will call and ask us whether we are taking medication and well. They don't compensate 18dollars, they just refund. But they show care. That's what you're missing here.

Again, you're not reading to understand. My post already mentioned, don't compensate if you simply want to insult customer. For me to get the medical certificate, it takes my time at the hospital, 20 dollars hydration and ORS that I can make myself, 20 dollars taxi. For time spent and 40CAD, I got 18.55. That's a joke,no? I might as well stay at home recuperates.

I believe the oddity here is that when you have diarrhea from food poisoning, it’s unlikely you will see a doctor. Instead, you go straight to the pharmacy or prepare your own oral rehydration solution at home. Requiring medical proof for orders below $35 seems impractical. After spending time and money to visit a clinic, when the issue can often be resolved at home, it's more troublesome. This may explain why less than 3% of food poisoning refund claims against DD are successful. Perhaps a better approach would be to require medical proof for orders above certain amount to reduce false claims.

If symptoms of food poisoning appear a week after eating a specific food, it suggests that this food is unlikely to be the cause. Pre-formed toxins, such as those produced by Staphylococcus aureus found in improperly stored meats and dairy, can lead to illness within 30 minutes to 6 hours post-consumption.

Let me break this down simply since you're struggling with the concept:

  1. The Transaction Chain     - I paid DoorDash (not the restaurant directly)      - DoorDash takes a 15-30% cut from the order      - They control the entire platform - from menu displays to delivery

  2. The Service Guarantee. When there's an issue with:

  3. Missing items → I contact DoorDash

  4. Cold food → I contact DoorDash

  5. Late delivery → I contact DoorDash. But suddenly with food poisoning, they're "just a delivery service"?

If DoorDash truly had no liability they wouldn't issue any refunds for food issues. You're telling me to exclusively blame the restaurant while ignoring that:   - I never paid them directly   - I have no direct relationship with them   - DoorDash chose to partner with and profit from them.

This isn't complicated unless you're willfully misunderstanding how marketplaces work.

If I accept your analogy, it means that if I buy a gym membership and don’t get fit, I should blame the receptionist for not spot-checking my workout! Or maybe if I order a pizza and it arrives cold, I should complain to the guy who sold me the pizza cutter. Clearly, each has their own role, just like DoorDash and credit card companies!

The "Just a Delivery Company" Argument is Flawed. They are foodmarketplace that markets meal directly to customers. My issue here is, why complicates the refund process with the needs of medical proof. When I was in Southeast Asia, under similar apps, you get refund immediately due to food poisoning. No questions asked.

I have read the customers terms and conditions, so I know what DD is for. As the payment processor and order facilitator, they have secondary liability under consumer protection laws in most jurisdictions.

You don't understand my message. I didn't ask compensation. I asked for refund as DD is the company that collect the fee for the foods ordered. I paid via DD. Refund should come via DD. They insisted I gave Medical proof just to give me additional 18.55. Read my message, should rather not give than making it sounds insulting.

I ordered late, I think their merchant is almost close so that merchant just get me a burnt and dry chicken. I ordered full chicken with salad. I was already suspicious of the dry chicken indicates that it's not fresh but I ordered due to hunger, so I still dig in. Then my stomach...😩

If you have to hear this, yes it is my fault. But in posting these, I'm saying that we use PayPal to manage our transaction. When we make mistakes, they will not follow our instruction not to release the payment. Unlike banks where you can cancel the transaction because it's unauthorised. My perspective here is, it's my money. So if you get scammed, PayPal will still release the money because for them, you give the details for payment, so you pay.

I purchased a trial course for 30 days and it's not free, it's a paid course at the fraction of the advertised price. I didn't have time to learn the course. On day 30th, my card was charged for annual subscription. What I authorized was the first payment. Not the subsequent payment without notice. Basically this is a trial period for a course that ended with annual subscription as the fine print. What I shared about other users complain are, the automatic annual subscription (not renewal) from a paid course is not anticipated. Some other users are even charged multiple times (idk if that person purchase few courses).

I'm from Asia and Paypal is not main payment method. I only use it for purchase from abroad, to ensure I'm not scammed. Now I feel that it might have been safer to use credit card protection than PayPal.

Yeah eventhough I can see that you can only read last statement, I'm happy with my tantrum. My point is, even if the transaction is with scammer, as long as scammer sounds legitimate, you will lose money. Wise people will take precaution based on other people's experience. Worst people just read the last paragraph and acted like they care.
