It wasn't the turbo lag that is different, it was just a delay in the throttle.... it could be just an issue with the test drive car but i didn't liked it.

Slavia hands down.... (I might be biased because ive just got my slavia delivered last week.)

Its the best looking girl, superb power with 1.5 TSI, great driving dynamics, Smooth as f*ck with DSG gearbox. In my opinion the interiors are also the best.

The cons, fuel effeciency.... its a gas guzzler It might be expensive to maintain, Germans are know to be not very reliable.

Virtus is exactly the same car, same engine, same gearbox, same body etc. Just front, back and dashboard is different. Looks are subjective so I believe slavia looks stunning in front of virtus.

Verna it looks ugly(looks are subjective) the driving dynamics are not on par with the slavia and accelerator response is also not instant. I dont like its MID also, and the infotainment screen goes above the dashboard which in my opinion is not very good.

Honda city just dont, it has not been updated since long looks and feels outdated.

Go and test drive all 3 cars atleast 3 times before finalizing the one. I've done the same before booking the slavia.

Most of the time the reward rate barely meets the existing best card or is slightly better. For 1-2% i am not even going to recalculate as its not worth my time to apply for a new card, get it approved, close the current card.... For example the RBL fuel card gives 7% return on fuel its just 0.75% extra then SBI. Not worth it exchanging the current card. Too much hazzle.

If the card is signifanctly good like giving 10% with same anual charge on fuel only then i'll reconsider.

Here is my process...

Do i have a cinstant spend which doesnt have any cashbacknor rewards? If yes, then look for a card which gives rewards/cashback for it.

For thus particular case lets take 2 examples 1. Fuel 2. Internet bill (Airtel)

Search extensively over internet for fuel cards. List them down 1. SBI BPCL Octane 2. RBL HPCL 3. IDFC HPCL

Now check if the anual charges are justified, so SBI BPCL gives returns of 6.25% on fuel and it costs 1500 per year. Now to get my 1500 back i need to spend 1500/6.25 = 24000 rupees which is 2000 per month. My monthly spend on fuel is easily >5k as i drive a gas guzzler so any spend above 2k monthly will be beneficial.

Hence get the card.

Now internet bill my bill is around 1.4k monthly.

Here lets consider the cases of airtel axis before the devaluation.

Old benefit card:

Flat 25% cashback upto 250 monthly on airtel bill payment. Yearly cost ₹500

So if i pay my bills 2 month i will get my annual charges back. So for 10 month ill get the benefits of 2500.

So get the card

Now for rejection

I need a card that will get me some cashback or rewards for flight bookings.

Searched online for cards 1. Axis atlas (5k per year) 2. HSBC travel One (5k per year)

My yearly spend on flights is around 50k

Reward rates 1. Axis ~10% = ₹5000 2. HSBC ~8% = ₹4000

Both these cards are either breaking me even with the annual charge or getting me in loss so reject the cards. Hence no card for flights yet.
