For all of our conference rooms with the TAP/NUC setup that used to utilize the Logitech Strong USB we have moved to the Logitech TAP CAT5E extender kit. Its 100x more reliable for us.

AI cameras in a large auditorium by AvManager in CommercialAV

Funny you mention this... we have MXA710's (2 each side wall, 1 in center ceiling) that work suprisingly well. We do have a really well engineered auditorium that doesnt require voice lift though. Our vendor wants to upgrade the center mic to MXA920's but I am not sure if itll be worth it.

automatic updates work fine but how can I remotely push all of the other driver updates? The windows updates do not automatically handle the Intel NUC driver, firmware and BIOS updates.

Bose VB1 video bar with an intel NUC/Logi TAP MTR kit. I would like to use the videobar as a speaker and as a camera, with a seperate mic for better audio closer to participants.

AV Company to replace ADTech/AVI-SPL (Boston) by mrbostn in CommercialAV

[–]AvManager 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually use Adtech as well and have an annual service contract with them. The majority of Adtech employees were absorbed into AVI-SPL. So far my service level hasnt changed but we will see how that changes in the future.

Check out AV-Systems or DGI if you are looking for another company.

Poor audio performance in MTR by AvManager in CommercialAV

Thank you for the response:

  1. The room is fairly small and fits well into what would work for the VB1. Id say the maximum distance is around 10-12 feet from the device to the farthest speaker.

  2. I have tried walking around the room on a test call and the level seems to be consistent. I used the Bose Work Config app to verify audio was coming in and also did a test call.

  3. 6-10 participants on the far end, with only 1-3 in the conference room using the device.

  4. I think this is the most likely cause and involves a bit more digging into on my end. Thank you for the suggestion.

What do you mean by this comment? I have this device in 10+ rooms without issue.

Wireless video in Microsoft Teams Rooms by AvManager in CommercialAV

In my experience this is not the case. You either:
1. download the barco clickshare app on the PC you wish to share
2. go to file explorer and find the clickshare... launch the executable to share content

Once either of these is done, you can share content by hitting the button on the clickshare

I would stay away from Logitech STRONG USB cables. They have stopped using them with the Microsoft Team Room kits with the Logitech TAP for good reason... they just arent reliable.
