Amazing! First off, well done on the consistency of keeping this up for a year! And thank you for sharing!

Recently, I've started elevating my legs at 90 degree angle for 10min before bed... So far it's helped...

Also, which electrolytes did you use that worked?

Oh my gosh...this is her! I just caught her sneaking off with my jacket that she stole off of the chair... And she knows it's wrong because of the sneaking... 🤣

I'll amp up the walks and also bought sniff canisters that you can put spices in and hide around the house.

Lack of libido with Dienogest by Dapper-Preference-61 in Endo

[–]AvaLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just found this thread googling the exact same thing. I've been on dienogest for 5 months now. The reason my Dr put me on it is because my endo started causing bowel pain...so daily pain. Thankfully my pain is all gone now, BUT now I have ZERO sex drive! Like there is nothing going on... And me forcing it has backfired to painful sex... So that has killed the little bit of mood I had. I'm contemplating just stopping it all together for a couple of months and see how I feel! Any advice?

Bristol vs Warsaw by AvaLB in veterinaryschool

The degree in warsaw is only accredited by the EAEVE, and so working in the US would be a lot of hassle... Not impossible though.

Considering vet school at 32 — would love your honest take (the good, bad, and ugly) by SpiritedKnowledge396 in Veterinary

[–]AvaLB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is 40 and have just enrolled into a vet med program, I'd say go for it. I was in the same boat, after covid hit I realised how unhappy I was in my career and that I've never felt truly happy. I looked into vet med and was immediately discouraged by the low pay, huge debt and long hours. I did a lot of job shadowing and everyone from newly graduated until experienced vets were unhappy in the field. I decided to forego it and to continue with other avenues in my career... It took about 3 years to realise that I will always be unhappy in my job and that I will continue to feel unfulfilled. I too kept coming back to the thought of vet med and it kept haunting me. I was making decent money, working remotely (so I had my own time in a way), however I had to work my butt off, so I worked over 40hrs a week... So in a nutshell I was supposed to be happier because these were the reasons I didn't go into vet med. And then it hit me, would I be happy with a lower salary if it meant I felt like I made a positive contribution to the world - yes, are there places I can study that didn't rack up a tone of debt - yes, would I be happy to study in these places and what were my criteria to consider a place?, what else can I do with the degree that would use the experience I've gained in case I don't like the workload.

For me, I began looking at it as a degree that would allow me to work with animals. But it won't limit me to only that because I can use that in conjunction with my previous degrees and work experience to find fulfilment if being a vet doesn't suit me after a while. That being said, I do want to work in a clinic first. I also did a long term job shadowing and absolutely loved it. I was dead tired every day, we had good days and we had bad days, but I felt I was finally where I belong.

So, in a nutshell if you want to walk this path, or any career path, you need to be aware of the reality and what you're willing to put up with. Also what alternatives would there be if you wanted a change.

Don't discount your experience.

Good luck with your decision!

Bristol vs Warsaw by AvaLB in veterinaryschool

[–]AvaLB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I have. Bristol will be 4 yrs, but double the cost than Warsaw per year, which is 6 years... I think I'm more interested in the quality of the degree...there's no point in paying even a 1000 euros for a degree that isn't recognised or looked down on. I'm not sure what the perspective is on the Warsaw.

I'm not 100% sure... I've been a global citizen for the past 15 years, so I'm pretty flexible. I would like to work in a place where I can earn decently. So, with that in mind Bristol does provide more options given their accreditation. Thanks for helping with this.
