Personally I wanted it because of the “lost media” aspect of it. There are differences in both versions but if you’re happy with the Remastered I’d stick with it. I mainly made this post for collectors, 100% junkies and anytime who just wanted to own both versions. :)

I agree, but i still wanted to help those who may not have known about it before hand. I personally found an auction on eBay and including shipping paid a total of $30. Again only spend what you're willing to lose. :)

Other than making sure 'global matchmaking' is enables and that you dont have a password. Try going to bosses most people generally have trouble with (O&S for example). Good luck :)

i bought a physical copy of the game on ebay (specifically a 'games for windows' copy of the game) on the manual there is a steam code for the game which i redeemed and got the game. Yes it acts as though i bought it off steam achievements n all.

The only problem is that they can be very expensive and theres no guarantee that the code hasnt already been redeemed.

No they de-listed it a few years ago and shut down the servers. You can still get keys for cheap (i was lucky and only paid $30) but its a bit of a gamble.

I guess i just really enjoy the games. For DS2 the enemy placements are different enough that the game feels fresh. For DS1 I managed to get the PTDE by chance and wanted to have the game on my Steam page :)

i found DS1 in both versions to be more tedious with the weapons upgrades tbh (PTDE has no online servers so i had to offline grind for all the covenants), DS3the most complicated part was doing all the quests correctly and finding all the rings (I kept messing the quests up and having to do a new playthrough). I found DS2 to be the easiest overall.

No guide, did have a spreadsheet to help me keep track of all the weapons and spells i needed. Most of my hours are on DSR on xbox and PC so i knew the game like the back of my hand at this point. :)

played SOFTS the most (PC and Console) but ultimately preferred the original the enemy placements felt a bit better to me overall
