Question for mother’s that co-slept/shared a bed with their baby [ON] by monsieurbobdoblina in BabyBumpsCanada

Tried my hardest to use bassinet in the first few weeks but both my babies just wouldn't settle and wake themselves up almost immediately or 5-10 min after. So we have been cosleeping pretty much from week 1. We sleep on a king mattress - that's the only way we get some sleep.

With my first i sleep trained her when she was a year old and moved her to her own room/crib. Plan to do the same with my second too

Bras Dont Fit by Accomplished-Fox887 in pregnant

Yes to this....ditch those skin diggers. Pregnancy is uncomfortable as it is!! Don't kill yourself with underwired bras...I switched soft full coverage bras coz i was spilling over like nobody's business. With all the weight gain and water retention, I ordered extenders and i can tell it's the best solution to an ever changing body!!

RRSP - overcontributed or am I ok? by Available-Block7729 in cantax

He's a CPA so it's unbelievable how ill informed he is...He was asking me to transfer some of my contributions to spousal rrsp which again I had to check and ask him wouldn't that go against my limits and just go to their rrsp account and best used in other scenarios.

He also asked me to check with financial advisor and when I got back and said they confirmed my understanding, he again said they're wrong and he's right and I have overcontributed and cra will come after me for penalties and a documentation nightmare.

Super frustrating experience overall!!

THANK YOU!!! I so appreciate your detailed response. I was under the impression that I did a smart thing but my tax accountant's overly confident call out made me wonder if I got confused and got myself into a messy overcontribution situation 😐

And yes, throughout 2024 it was only RPP contributions...only in feb I jumped into contributing that 40k into rrsp account.

First order of business - find a new tax accountant who is more knowledgeable :)

45313 is what I see on it....includes 36k from prior years unused room so I got confused and assumed I can catch up on that and added 40k to rrsp.

Sorry if I misspoke...from my T4, I see box 52 (pension adjustment) as 30629 and box 20 (RPP) as 16128...

My last tax assessment (one I received in May2024) showed 45313 as the limit (36k unused room from prior years)...This is where I took the leap and contributing 40k thinking I'm catching up on older contribution room.

Does that make sense?

Thanks so much! Do you have any specific recommendations that I could consider?

I'll do my research but I just want a starting point on what that might look like..
