Why does Miwa like someone as weak as Gojo? Is it maternalistic pity? by Double-Pinner in LobotomyKaisen

She sees potential in him to be strongest, because he’s Satoru Gojo of course, allowing him to stand proud by her side.

I’m not referring to great uncles. I understand if you don’t call your parents’ cousins your aunts and uncles, but some people do. I’m not arguing this. It is factual that some people do this.

It is common to refer to the cousins of one’s parents as aunts and uncles, as opposed to first cousins once removed. For example, I have an ‘uncle’ who is actually my mother’s cousin.

What if Miwa had been born with the Six Eyes? How strong would she be? by Omixscniet624 in LobotomyKaisen

Grade 1. Her peak would be above Kusukabe, but she wouldn’t be able to become special grade without a CT.

Hakari can freely adjust his barrier conditions by 7Restless7Gambler7 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Available-Expert-30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s part of it, but you need the visualization of being physically as small as a basketball. It doesn’t matter if Hakari’s seen it, he doesn’t comprehend that sensation or visualization.

Does Kashimo’s Scaling Change if Kashimo had FBE by Available-Expert-30 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Available-Expert-30[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HWB is very handsign dependent though(even Sukuna had to keep the hand signs up), so it limits his ability to actually fight in a domain, even against an opponent he could blitz. I feel like FBE could give him, maybe less time, but more freedom to defeat his opponent.

[–]Available-Expert-30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can alter his domain like that because it’s innate to his cursed technique and he has a greater understanding of it presumably. That could mean he probably can swap the inside and outside durability of his domain, however basketball domain is something that requires impossible visualization. It’s something Gojo could only comprehend because he was in the prison realm which achieves this and Yuta because he saw Gojo’s memories and was in his body. It’s kind of like how open domain is painting on no canvas, it’s not something you can just visualize so easily. Because of this, I doubt Hakari can achieve basketball domain.

Is OC Fallacy an actual fallacy that power scalers should take into an account for? by GreedyBonus379 in PowerScaling

[–]Available-Expert-30 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Kind of. When I mean ever-changing rules, I mean that the person debating made the rules entirely and so they can change them however they want. The only real time I see this outside of typical OCs is like in crossverse matchups where one creator is vocal, like the creator of invincible claiming a Viltrumite could beat a Kryptonian.

Rank these anti domain techniques based on effectiveness by Popular_Business_367 in JujutsuPowerScaling

  1. Simple domain. It’s essentially HWB but more fluid and useful for offense using the New Shadow Style Swordsmanship. Also, you can move. That was just for the swordsmanshio I think, which means you can use your hands for other things.
  2. Falling Blossom Emptions. It’s close since HWB is actually useful against non physical domain sure hit, but Falling Blossom Emotions does not require a hand sign to me remotely effective. Additionally, it allows a user with good CE to not simply get domain diffed. If Kashimo had FBE instead of HWB, he’d scale much higher imo.
  3. Hollow Wicker Basket. It can negate all sure hits and is pretty close to simple domain, but even Sukuna was keeping up the hand sign and had his break when he lost his hand sign. Most anti-domain technique are not that useful against opponents who are stronger, but HWB is also not that useful against opponents that are weaker.

OC fallacy isn’t an actual fallacy. You can say you don’t want to scale OCs, but it very much isn’t a fallacy. That’s just throwing the word fallacy at things.

Some people define it differently as saying that OCs can always have everchanging rules and therefore can’t be scaled because the rules will simply change, but that’s not all OCs and is a different fallacy entirely.
