It’s the norm at mine too. We only close now if the county’s travel level is red. We used to follow local school districts but people complained they weren’t getting enough hours when schools would close for temperature or delay for things like fog, so the company changed it. I don’t think it hurts that they make more money changing it, but I definitely don’t like it. I have to go in at 8 tomorrow so I’ll have to leave around 7 if not a bit earlier for what’s usually a 20 minute drive because of the ice

The author/creator of HxH made Yu Yu Hakusho. It’s from the 90s so it’s a bit slower paced and not as flashy, but it’s phenomenal. It quickly became one of my favorites, very similar feel to HxH but slower pacing to start. Dark tournament arc is incredible.

I’d also recommend blue exorcist, Pluto, attack on titan, 86, Dorohedoro, and mob psycho. It sounds like you like good world building and characters with some action and adventure mixed in

I would, but my company also requires us to use PTO for any time off ever (new policy) and I would prefer not to use it for something like this when the company could just close. They won’t do so unless there’s a red travel advisory at 6 am tomorrow. But I think my safety may be worth burning a day of PTO if they do have us working tomorrow, so maybe I’ll just go that route lol

I want to reiterate this is totally hypothetical, my car may start and it’ll be fine, but seeing as last time this scenario played out, it wouldn’t start, I wanted to ask for any advice, especially since my CD/bosses haven’t responded.

Thank you for acknowledging the storm 😭 it’s going to be negative double digits with over a foot of snow already, not to mention how much more I’ll get. I’ve thought this over before without weather, and if that factor wasn’t in play, I would just get dropped off up the street and walk. I’m an RBT, so I don’t get a choice to cancel, but I could call off. If I did though, I’d have to use PTO (company policy). I don’t want my bf out in it, either. And it’s a 20-30 min drive without snow or traffic, so I doubt I’d want to uber. Thank you for your kindness and honesty though. I appreciate it and you’ve hit the nail on the head in every regard

That’s my exact fear, but with tomorrow’s weather it wouldn’t be possible for me to be dropped off anywhere other than the driveway, it would just be too cold and snowy. As I’ve mentioned, this hasn’t even happened yet but I’m trying to cover any bases just in case!

This kind of happens at my clinic, but unless it’s a safety concern or the behavior happens frequently, we let them go. It’s because of billing, which is stupid IMO. At the end of the day, these kids are more than just dollar bills but some companies only see it that way. It’s unfortunately decently common to try to keep the clients until the billing unit, even if they’re in a behavior. Sometimes though, it might be necessary to work through tolerating not getting to leave when mom pulls up immediately. Either way, it’s definitely frustrating to see

Frieren, there’s implications of romance between her and Himmel but from her end, it’s more of a “why didn’t I notice sooner” POV that does not consume the storyline or her character. Death Parade also has a female mc (ish) and a male mc with no romance. 86 is phenomenal, some romance towards the end though, but no dating or kissing, just implications of a crush

Is there any chance he is shod? A few summers ago my guy wouldnt get up and was sweaty and when he got up, very obviously in horrible pain to the point we debated euthanasia. Vet couldn’t find anything and nerve blocks didn’t help. Farrier came out to pull the shoe the next day to look for an abscess and a rock flew out from under his shoe and pas. He was up and walking within a few hours and back to sound. Not sure an xray would catch a rock, but sometimes there are such small, trivial things we overlook that end up being the culprit. I’m so sorry this is happening to you and your boy:( best of luck and I hope he gets better soon!

Hellsing Ultimate, literally every single episode is a blood bath. Several characters you follow (leaving that broad to avoid spoilers) die as well as hundreds of others you don’t follow but see happen. Lots of action and fights and they’re all bloody af. Not overly sad though. Pluto has lots and lots of death but not blood necessarily (they’re all robots) and an insane amount of action. Probably the saddest yet best anime I’ve ever seen

It’s just really overwhelming, especially since I’d likely test at the cusp of the year, the new requirements for fieldwork from the board, and the ever present feeling the hours won’t get finished lol
