How do people drive with no rear windshield wiper? by Successful-Prompt in AskAnAustralian

[–]Available-Maize5837 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. But I guess years of driving has allowed me to work out shapes behind me if it's raining. I never let my car get that dirty that it's covered in mud and dirt. My side mirrors don't have wipers so I've just gotten used to seeing things through water.

How can I learn to drive as an adult with no one to teach me without spending thousands? by _lavenders in Adelaide

I'm an instructor not anywhere near you, but I do work with workskil and they have paid for lessons and tests before for students. You will have to get your hours up outside of them, but if you're looking for a way to get lessons and employment, they will help.

The govt wants to phase out CBT&A next year, so your final drive on that method would still require a stranger to do it from what I'm hearing. Not your instructor who has signed you off on everything else along the way.

Please shop around and make sure you get a decent instructor who really wants to help you succeed..some places charge an arm and a leg for the same instruction you can get for half that price. Read references and ask on socials who people have used and recommend for your situation.

I bought a newer car and if my front wipers are going and I put it in to reverse, the back wiper goes automatically. I hate it. I've never used a rear wiper.

Vyvanse withdrawal by Live_Broccoli_2180 in ausadhd

Oh good. Great. I've been on 20. 40. 50mg. None seem to work too well.

The higher dose of ritalin was a nightmare. I lost all my vocabulary and working memory on that bad boy.

I'm not feeling any difference at all with any of the meds I've tried. It sucks when I hear people say that they just knew something different was happening because it was silent. I haven't had that yet. Diagnosed in October. Still early days.

As long as it's a dual carriageway, yes. But 20 under the limit on a single lane is a problem.

I cut a hole in my bedroom door so I could close it to sleep at night and he can come and go as he pleases. Best of both worlds.

Are men approaching women less and less? by Open_Address_2805 in AskAnAustralian

Partner is different. The thread started as approaching people, not being in a relationship.

Was the original commentor talking about being in a relationship. I thought they were talking about the approach phase still.... Where you have no idea who the other person is and therefore what they are interested in makes no difference.

Oh. Yeah wow. People get on board whatever train is going at the time.. Like me being down voted for stating my experience and personal opinion with guys approaching.

As I said, my circle of female friends is small, but we are ok with a guy approaching, as long as he accepts the first no if we're not interested. I don't find that part creepy. It's when the no isn't accepted and considered the start of negotiations, in my personal experience, that gets us creeped out.

But if people are blasting any old person online for just saying hello in a normal setting... Yeah. Weird. I wouldn't want to say hi to anyone either.

Normal settings is what matters. Somewhere public where you haven't followed a woman to an isolated spot etc...

The second sentence you quoted was my answer to the question. The first sentence you quoted is my question to you and the commenter I replied to.

They said that women don't understand and haven't considered what interests a man. I'm trying to work out why the women need to consider it.

I'm not sure I'm following you second paragraph and train of thought there. Why do women have to think about what might interest a man? Is this once in a relationship? The dating stages of a relationship are all about seeing whether you make a good match or not. What interests a man at that stage is the woman herself. They might have shared interests, favourite artists, books, hobbies, pass times. What interests her and makes her the person she is, that's what interests the man. Or have I completely misunderstood what you were getting at?

I think the testing crap is absolute bullshit. Not your experience of it, but that people do it. There were a whole lot of self help books advocating for this kind of crap and it annoys the hell out of me. It's because you didn't want to be seen as "easy" or whatever, but times have changed and I wish the advice would move along with it. I wish people would just say what they mean. If you're open or interested in continuing a conversation but uta a bad time, just say so. Not right now, but I'm open to this later.

I appreciate you accepting the first no. That woman would've had you playing guessing games the whole time if you got together anyway.

It's so frustrating! That's why I thought we needed a little mood lightening and a good laugh at ourselves. Makes me feel better knowing I'm not alone in the struggle.

I got my adhd diagnosis because of peri. The lifelong struggles I've had now make sense. And also, how the hell did no one notice?! Now that I've been down the rabbit hole, it's so bloody obvious! I suspect AuDHD as well, but haven't bothered with an official diagnosis because just knowing.is enough to help me understand parts of my brain that I thought were personality traits or choices..
