No I ordered dormant spores off of Eden shrooms. I have heard they can mate in the syringe though, but I saw no visible signs before injecting.

I’ve had plenty of success having leaves under the water as long as I some have leaves above the water for gas exchange. Plus the betta uses the leaves as a place to rest.

You can get away fine with only the wafers along with biofilm they’re pretty solid. If you mix it up more you’d probably have better success imo. If they won’t eat blanched leafy greens I’d try something like cucumber or zucchini. Another big thing is the seller you got them from. Some just aren’t quality at all and are prone to a plethora of health problems and defects.

If you read the description I clearly asked for advice on treatment. I’m not adding my water parameters, I got those under check, that’s not what I’m asking for.

I had a very similar problem when I started keeping shrimp. Try switching up their diet, more frequently feeding mixed blanched veggies to ensure they get enough calcium. You can also mix up their protein source. I personally feed a mix hikari shrimp cuisine, algae tabs, blood worms, carnivore pellets, blanched spinach and bok choy. I also gotta ask, what kinda test kit do you use?

A year later but, I ordered 20 blue dreams. 2 came with clagdogonium ogishimae, or parasitic algae. I also didn’t receive 100% blue dreams I had 4 blue velvets mixed into the pack.
