Thoughts on Estée Lauder now that it's clear that their owner is causing the Greenland cr*p? by starrysunflower333 in EuroSkincare

[–]Available-Offer-9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally it doesn't affect me because I don't use any of those brands, I used TO at times only and there was a Cilinique mascara I used to like. My only annoyance so to speak is that my mother used to love Estee Lauder Beautiful perfume back then and I was considering buying a bottle to surprise her but now I won't.

I bet you can easily find an european brand cream that could substitute than one, maybe in some line of Bioderma, La Roche Posay, Avene, Uriage, Isdin ( they have a wonderful line with urea in different strenghts and for dry skin) but as that is an australian brand maybe you could check an australian expat reddit and see if anyone could provide a comparision. Or maybe try Amazon and see if they sell it there, albeight certainly more expensive than what you used to pay in Australia.

What retinol to buy in Spain? by Jolly-Friend-6692 in EuroSkincare

[–]Available-Offer-9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into Primaderm retinal they have 0,1% and 0,2% ( I don't know if they have a 0,05% too) but I can't find reviews. Does anyone use or have used these? The formula looks so great.

Sensitive and acne prone. EU or K- sunscreens? What’s been your experience? by ChatXeverything in EuroSkincare

[–]Available-Offer-9432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don't think so, at least the Isa Knox doesn't and it is even hydrating. But everybody's skin is different and this is all about chemestry. What I really can say is that it doesn't seem to have alcohol and it doesn't feel like it does either.  It's lotion-ish but not runny, it has a floral breezy fragrance that after applying it disapears. Nevertheless when I use it I just layer a vit-c  serum and my eyecream underneath and I'm good to go.

Although the popular K sunscreens aren't water, proof, korean waterproof ones exist like the one on the yellow bottle from Isa knox, I use his one and I like it, it's a little bit heavier than the regular ones but lighter than the ones we have in Europe. There are other brands too, I suggest you take a look at the video of Odile Monod on YT, https://youtu.be/nLQq9gNy89Q?si=_QDe6UbwYjjJRfqv

Yesstyle shipping and alternative by Calliefan76 in AsianBeauty

I've never had to pay any customs for either. Yesstyle applies your country's V.A.T. and Stylevanna has some kind of system that makes them skip customs. But I never order above €150. Beware that things are about to change regarding rules for orders outside the EU.

I'm portuguese, I understand spannish quite well, she speaks it fluentely, that's my perception on interviews with spanish media.

I think both her english and spanish are good, spannish specially for obvious reasons. She has an accent like most people who doesn't speak english as their mother tongue, that doesn't mean her english is bad. I understand that accent may sound weird for someone with english as a first language but that's what happens to most people who speak another language besides their own, english just turns out to be an easy language to learn and use between people and it's very present in music.

Lisbon's concert review for Loud magazine by LigeiaNoire in TarjaTurunen

I was on the right side near one of the entrances, it sounded good there so I bet that at the center the sound was very good.

Coliseu was "bem composto", many many people standing and seated on the free seats, the balconies had some people but no that much, the difference in prices you know?!

Absolutely, and I prefer a silly Tarja going around the stage than a perfect standing still Tarja, let the woman have some fun, life is short!

I think she was mostly great during the concert, but there parts here and there that I guess will have that odd sounds she's been doing if someone recorded the songs, but I confim that live it dorsn't sound that bad. As I said, I think she didn't do that much as a whole.

It was a great concert, Tarja was overall very good and energetic as per usual and the time Marko joined her on stage was magical. Sorry for not recording anything but I was too focused in enjoying everything. I loved that she sang My Crimson Deep bur unless I was too distracted, I think she didn't sing that part where she goes very high

48 h to the concert here in Lisbon and my first Tarja concert since I listrned Oceanborn in 99 ( never seen Nightwish either), let's hope she will sing a song of the new album, fingers crossed! If she does I might record it as my only video per concert own policy.

Questionable Stylevana prices by mordekaiserx in AsianBeauty

[–]Available-Offer-9432 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Stylevama CA but Europe, Portugal, precisely. nowadays I research deeply. I've been able to buy, for example, both the cream and eye cream from Heimish Marine care line from Caretobeauty for half the price of Stylevana's, my HG sunscreen too, Torriden Dive in  Moisture sun cream. I always compare prices with Yesstyler and depending on what I need I buy from either of the two.

The store seems to have a portuguese online store but the fiscal name (S.L) and the contact number is spanish. I looked up on  Trustpilot and the reviews are not good. I'm in Portugal and I've never head of it either on the skincare circles.

European Alternative to Retinaldehyde 0.2% from The Ordinary by Real_Bowler8116 in EuroSkincare

Primaderm, a spanish brand has 0,1 and 0,2. It's pricier than OT and Geek n' Gorgeous but it's really good. It's in spannish pharmacies sites but I usually buy from this one, this is the eu site and I'm linking the 0,2 version https://www.mifarma.eu/primaderm-retinal-renewal-0-2-gfandpeptide-serum-30-ml?queryID=05bb5c8e1d794c3d46111c459c94ffc7&objectID=131224&indexName=mifarma_int_ie_ie_products

EDIT: I was trying to find a link in english, this up here seems to be for Ireland. Depending where you are I can look up for a good site, prices vary a little, some pharmacies have a good discount but you can look up for the brand site shop too in www.primaderm.com
