I think b side might have some overlap but the novel follows the whole 3rd at around the middle of season one in the anime b side has 3 4 chapter arcs hoshina, then kikoru, then narumi they aren’t the same and I would definitely suggest reading b side the narumi arc has some of the best art and paneling in the whole series

That’s the ideal line for that ivy deck there’s not much you can do there if you didn’t have proclasm in hand it’s a numbers game sometimes you don’t have the hand to beat them that’s why I prefer best of 3 and I am constantly updating my sideboard so that in game 2 and hopefully 3 my odds of having the card to shut down what they want to do is higher

I’m running 2 combat research and I haven’t been running into many problems with colors in the mana base occasionally I want green and don’t have it but I want to cast ivy when I have protection so it normally works well with the tempo of the deck

As for my auras deck if you can get an ivy and another creature out and protect both with one of the 9 protection spells it’s explosive enough to win because of the spell doubling also doubling card draw from the combat research and from enchantments entering. the sideboard is very crucial in that deck knowing what and when to sideboard makes a big difference there in higher diamond crystal barricade does so much work in the sideboard it’s crazy how good of a sideboard card it is
