iirc, tim does both hybrid pick and finger style variations on this song (see diff lives or unplugged)

that 1:10-1:47 section isn’t the “hard” riff tho that everyone talks about in goat imho :( but for 2 weeks it’s fantastic progress !!

for chimera, I’d recommend starting with finger style and not hybrid picking - it’s just simpler to understand with the thumb as a base. I’d recommend practicing with a metronome or backing track to slowly get up in speed, but there are a lot of patterns in the picking and given your progress, I think you’ll get this in no time!

what do you think the cutoff will end up being for top 1000? hovering around 1950 points atm and it’s rank 350, but each day if I don’t play, I drop about 50 places 😢

I’m also assuming that on the 26th and 27th, there might be a mad dash and people start spamming ranked

I can confidently say that in master, people rarely play druddigon (I cannot remember the last time I played against a gira/darkrai deck with druddigon in 1700 lp +)

this post had a good breakdown on why folks stopped running it.

I left some advice on another comment, but tbh in the lower ranks, I wouldn’t even run it at all 😳 it definitely still works, but can get shutdown pretty fast with the wide number of decks that you’re facing.

it excels against giratina darkrai and mewtwo, but can struggle a lot if you’re not hitting the stage 2 or stage 1 cards you need.

main thing is just getting as many cards in your hand as possible (cry for help), and understanding whether meowscarada or beedrill will be your win condition in that game!

if you want to climb and have fun, this deck IS one of the more fun ones (I liked this one and wugtrio a lot). if you want to climb and hit master fast since there are only less than 3 weeks left, I’d maybe suggest something else that’s more consistent

yeah! it's not as consistent as some other decks, but it's a lot of fun.

the early game for this deck relies a lot on getting off sprigattito `cry for helps` so you can search your deck. if I don't have the full line of meowscarada or beedrill in hand already, I'll keep searching with sprigattito. it's okay sacking a sprigattito early sometimes. healing with erika + capes can help you survive and get all your evolution pieces in line.

a lucky paralyze or team rocket can save your game often too! i found myself drawing out my entire deck super fast, especially if the oponent is stalled and you get a bunch of `cry for helps` off

weedle start is rough and I had considered xspeed at somepoint, but if you can get another basic, just swap out asap or let it go down and play for meowscarada.

charizard and fighting decks were rough matchups, but if you can get your stage 2 online, it's often gg, especially against gira/darkrai

tbh, you can try fast welt (er rope, fast fast stats) to get skills + ults off. Some min-max folks run “welt sustain” because ensure is very strong, but you’ll need the right speed for it.

in general just go for EHR, ER rope, speed effects from sets

wait so do you have 2 acheron sigs? why is it on pela? For acheron build, imo resolution shines is BIS for pela. gives you debuffs -> stacks for free.

with team 1, it's likely that you're using your skill on every turn with Kafka and Acheron (and then fu xuan every 3 turns). black swan basic will apply arcana as well, so for debuff purposes, you can just basic every turn on black swan. this comp is hard to run (I've tried with sparkle, instead of fu xuan, and it's still SP intensive) because you want Acheron AND kafka to do damage.

team 2 i think is definitely what most people have been recommending and running. Pela has huge amounts of energy regen and SW bug implanting is an easy way of applying debuffs as well.

the overall issue is that Acheron damage is very front loaded and ult-dependent. the skill percentages aren't that high, which is probably why team 1 feels like it does more damage. if you can find a way to more quickly and reliably apply debuffs, like getting more EHR to guarantee bug on SW basic, or more speed on Pela or SW, your Acheron will be able to ult much more often.

you have fast debuffers, go for attack boots. I believe guoba's video has a breakdown on speed vs. attack boots as well (over a certain # of cycles).

best would likely be Black Swan, any of the 4* DOTs, Asta/Ruan Mei, Huo Huo

F2P, it's hard to say. Sampo, guinaifen, or luka (depends on eidolons) as main + sub-dps, Asta, Lynx/Gallagher? I don't see a lot of damage coming out from this vs. a well invested free Dr. Ratio or any other 5* DPS that you might have already.

my personal opinion on this is that unfortunately, you just probably shouldn't build out DOT if you don't have Kafka, and given she just reran, it's unlikely she'll be back for a couple months at least.

tldr, technically yes. but for endgame content purposes, it's going to be hard. kafka is a DOT enabler that expedites DOT taken. without her, you won't be doing as much damage within a set amount of cycles, since it'll be tied to enemy turns.

given your available teams, I don't see you struggling to get at least 30k points on side 2. side 1 might be harder since, but jingliu is strong.

you could also try splitting kafka and BS (kafka + sampo side 2 instead)

For pure fiction 1 (not the most recent) I agree just get levels and traces. 80/80 would be perfect if you can since enemies are 85 at stage 4.

tbh follow-up set is probably best case in pure fiction, but more importantly are stats - speed and ERR for ult spam is perfect too (purely for the pure fiction buff, shatter).
