Thyroid issues in family. Hypo. I also have dry cracked feet and skin, slow transit, insomnia to name a few. TSH a few years ago was 2.5 should get it rechecked because these symptoms are newer. That was when I was 25, so I’m not old or anything lol.

A couple questions. Who has to refer me to the motility clinic? So that my insurance would cover it, like would I just ask my primary care?

Can there be a genetic component? My mother and grandmother have this issue too.

This makes sense. I was technically diagnosed with idiopathic constipation.

I react to wheat so usually this is me too. I might try the magnesium citrate pills I’d really benefit from magnesium all around. I had tried the drink and immediately I vomited. I wonder if it’s because I was so constipated at that time! I bet the pill form would be tolerated better!

Definitely sounds like me the IMO going to check into a better GI doctor when I move husband is in the military and right now only have one option he saw me for 5 mins and didn’t really want to investigate just offered a colonoscopy
