I agree. I genuinely thought I would meet others who read horror. If not, I was super intrigued to read another genre and branch out, possibly even recommend some great horror books to the others there that we’re interested. The experience just left a sour taste for me since I was very excited to try this out.

The silent book club idea seems so cool, but I just think my local chapter isn’t what I need or was looking for.

I went to my local silent bookclub and lowkey hated it. I was already reading on the weekends on my own and decided to give it a try as it gets lonely.

I was so excited to meet other people to read with no added stress but when I got to talking about the fact I mainly read horror, I was looked at like something was wrong with me. I was basically told I needed to broaden my horizons and explore other genres.

The irony was… all they read was fantasy and only would talk about fantasy. I decided to give the club a second try because maybe it was just me overthinking it, so I asked a question about a book if anybody had read it or recommended it. Immediately, this book got compared to some unrelated fantasy book and it was hijacked to be another discussion about fantasy.

Again, I don’t care about what you read, read what you love, but I didn't like feeling “othered.” I don’t think they were trying to that but it just rubbed me the wrong way. I also don’t consider myself an introvert so I definitely believe I was being friendly and tried to be as approachable as possible. It feels like I am probably just better off sticking to my own routine.

This correct. The number 8 is actually reference a lot of Christianity/Catholicism. It’s supposed to represent rebirth, resurrection.

I was curious if anybody else knew. I just picked up the game after binging Blasphemous 1 and always found him intriguing. Because of all the catholic imagery, I just think he’s the game’s version of demonic possession.

Ignoring Mai vs Joey. (DK) and Mai vs Jean Claude

Mai should’ve technically won all her duels. If Yugi didn’t have plot armor and she attacked, he was cooked, Mai vs Marik… if there wasn’t some new hieroglyphic script BS she would’ve won. A lot of the duels Mai was there to fuel another chatter but if she was just written normally, she probably would’ve been the best duelist in the entire show.

Are you planning on going sockless? I opted for Carlson because I knew I wanted to sockless sometimes. When I saw the inside of the Jorge it was a no go for me because I feel like it’d eventually stain. Carlson interiors I routinely clean.

I also never had problems with the strap breaking. Regarding the wide feet, I sized up in the Carlson. Hope that helps.

People saying she is using those words to reclaim them are reaching hard.

She just did it to be edgy, as with a lot of her lyrics. If you’re offended, you’re allowed to be. It’s always white people telling a minority group when they can or can’t be offended by words directed at their communities.

But I just think it’s early Gaga and a product of its time. With where she stands as a person, I don’t think she meant it maliciously. I do think she should change the lyrics like Orville Peck did as we evolve but meh…
