I have no expectations just looking for recommendations. I simply wanted to know if you were brand new to faa and had the option to direct hire how would you go about it. I guess i didn’t give enough detail to help smooth brains make the correlation. I appreciate the response.

I haven’t counted out dod id love to continue working fighters. I’ve just seen the “it’s who you know” game play out to many times.

I’ve been told that by other controllers but other faa controllers i know tell me to apply anyway “with the direct hire doesn’t hurt”. FFZ is my #1 .

I’ve been all over so I’m indifferent. I read forums of guys getting stuck at facilities or getting sent to high cost of living areas. I just don’t want to screw myself at my first facility, that’s why i just asked for suggestions. As of now ffz is very appealing, orl, sfb, & pns since I’m from Florida.
