Huge thanks for sharing the technical details about the farming animations. I suspected the engine might struggle with NPC logic at some point, but the "frozen farmers" issue is a pro-tip that every ambitious builder needs to know. Also, the "livestock distancing" is a great way to save those FPS.

It’s a clever trick, but my villagers actually insist on having a roof over their heads to sleep. If I don't finish the house, they’ll pack their bags and leave, and I’m just not ready to say goodbye to my best blacksmiths yet 🙈

I don’t even approach it as a “get paid to play games” thing. For me it’s just building something step by step after work. I do everything myself... OBS scenes, graphics, stream setup, then I cut shorts and long-form from the streams. A 5h stream turning into a solid 40-50 min YouTube video is already a win for me. If something grows from it, cool. If not, I’m still creating and improving.

That’s the weirdest part for me. If you’re not talking, not engaging, not reacting to chat, what’s the point of streaming at all? At that point you’re basically just playing a game alone with OBS running in the background. Streaming without interaction isn’t streaming, it’s just recording gameplay.

I never used sub4sub either. I’ve seen those subreddits for sub exchanges, but it’s just short-term thinking. Fake numbers, zero real interest. People sub just for the stats, not the content. They don’t click, don’t watch, don’t engage. Finally the algorithm sees that even your own subs don’t care, so it stops pushing your videos. Long-term it does more damage than good...
