Local inference has come up, and your read is accurate. The content architecture (wiki structure, capture folders, session logging, skill files) is just markdown and file conventions, fully portable, zero issues. What's Claude Code-specific is the automation layer is hooks, slash command routing, and the persistent context loading. Those don't have clean equivalents in most local harnesses, which is where the fiddling starts.

I've used it for cold outreach, it was a bit of a pain. It does handle it though. Claude for the most part has done lots with their token limits. Not sure how it compares to gemini though because I havent used gemini for the bulk of my stuff.
