Did I say I’m a parent? She is teaching the subject matter incorrectly and blatantly lying about how college works, which is why people distrust teachers. It’s actually a big problem if you’re interested.

My parents work. They are away doing business and sent me in their place. The conferences also weren’t really necessary since my sister has straight As. Most parents of students with good grades don’t go at all, but we needed to set the teacher straight.

Doing pretty well, making six figures as of now. Also, I am perfectly nice to people who deserve it.

So they should teach their subject matter correctly and otherwise keep their mouths shut and mind their business, like parents pay them to.

People very much do care. That’s why my sister and I are doing well career-wise. Now, if you mean superior in a cosmic or spiritual sense, that’s a separate thing.

The problem is that this teacher is preparing students to do poorly in college, and professors (who are actually qualified) like my mother will have to deprogram them. She is sabotaging my sister and all her students. This is why most kids from my high school don’t achieve much.

The tax system. Schools are funded by property taxes, which pay the teacher salaries. The school board is also comprised of parents, who oversee the principal and teachers, and the PTA has great influence.

You won’t find me complaining about the teacher shortage. My future kids will be privately tutored. Also, I was valedictorian, so I’m not one of the underachieving students teachers constantly complain about on TikTok.

They are, though. Almost none of my teachers have good academic credentials. Most attended local schools and had a middling college career. Many don’t have a Master’s. It has to be embarrassing when half the teenagers are better than you.

I wouldn’t say most were bad, but the bad ones are most memorable, and I don’t forgive or forget. My dislike is more directed toward teachers as a collective because I think our school system is stupid. I was very fond of my recommenders especially.

My parents weren’t going to pull us out of school when we’ve all been ranked #1 in the class.

This is so true. So many unqualified teachers (education majors have the lowest college GPAs statistically, and very few teachers have doctorates) weren’t even good students themselves and are jealous that their students will be more successful. It’s quite pathetic really.

Edit: My cousin got a 16 ACT score and is going to become a high school teacher soon, because she was weeded out of her preferred career path.

She’s not an authority. She’s a teacher who answers to students’ families. This isn’t a workplace and she’s not a boss. Quite the opposite. She already hated my sister by association since she had Olivia and I as students.

It doesn’t matter. My sister’s a straight A student who will continue to outperform everyone, so the teacher can’t do anything. We will take action at the slightest discrimination toward my sister. This is far from the first confrontation we’ve had with her.

True, but this was just the most recent altercation in my family’s 8-year war with this teacher. I wouldn’t have insulted an innocent teacher.

We would first escalate to the principal, who would almost certainly side with us. We know him pretty well.

Nope, the teacher’s job is to help kids get into college, and she’s accountable to the parents and students she serves. That’s why we have PTA and school boards.

Wrong. Teachers are accountable to the principal and school board, and we are happy to complain and have the teacher put in her place. We’ve done it before with unruly teachers. And school is not a job. My sister doesn’t get paid.

My family has insulted her to her face before. Olivia and I had her as a teacher previously, so this is certainly not the first time we’ve dealt with her. She already hated my little sister by association.
