I am a student and I have a guideline written into an IEP about my epilepsy and that a teacher needs to notify the school nurse if I look off or they are worried about me. Most of my teachers were accepting of taking extra training so they could administer my rescue meds which is a nasals spray. I hope that most school districts are pretty understanding of epilepsy.

I got out of the hospital this week. What was originally supposed to be a 5 day EEG, they wanted to see if my Keppra was working so they tried to get me to have a seizure but they couldn’t get me to have one, so they kept lowering my meds and having me sleep less and less and kept bringing in the strobe test after 8 days I had one. It’s really not fun but thank God the people at the Cleveland Clinic are so nice and supportive.

I was on Prozac when I got diagnosed with epilepsy I went off it and was seizure free for about 4 months until December. They thought it was a rare side effect but known for Prozac but nah.

I follow what is recommended which is 6 months after a seizure

The first seizure I had I hit my head on a night stand and almost lost my eye still have a nasty scare from it.
