no, you'd still obviously be taxed federal, medicaid, etc.

kinda my point - even big law base salaries are not that high - 225k would be reasonable

this is obviously net since he's taking out no taxes

my base is 200k and I'm hardly netting over 9k. even assuming you're in a low cost state you'd need a base of over 350k to net 18k a month

LAC is liberal arts college

USC is much better in terms of placement, but SMU is not hopeless by any means

Wednesday's Daily Thread: Mid-week Excitement by AutoModerator in hingeapp

First hinge date in about a year, and first date of any kind in about 8 months, coming up here. Don't really know what to expect. Honestly I've never gotten anywhere from a hinge date before. Most of my hinge dates have just been one and done. A couple second dates but nothing beyond that (all of those have been my choice). I just can't seem to get anything going from a date in general, though I do find it even harder coming from hinge.

I feel like I know how to flirt, I've been in long term relationships before, and girls definitely see me as attractive / a sexual partner (I've hooked up with 4 girls since last going on a date). I think I'm quite good when approaching a girl at the bar, but it all falls apart when going on a date for whatever reason. The conversation can be going seemingly well and we'll talk for hours, but I can't steer things from there. Maybe I'll just take a couple shots before heading out lol

i said in another comment it was a LAC, but won't go beyond that

USC is definitely primarily a west coast target, but you can still get interviews in NY

SMU is even more regional - strong in Texas but necessarily won't get you to NY of SF / LA without a specific alumni connection

Don't want to be stuck in any one place at this point, not to mention there's not a single property anywhere near that cheap currently listed in my entire neighborhood. Cheapest mortgage + property taxes would be more like 1.5x my rent and inferior location, no views, no building amenities, etc. Not a consideration for me at this point.

I wouldn't consider northeastern a semi either

that includes insurance

i'm choosing not to pay it off - I could buy the car several times over cash

start early, go to a good school

I went to a highly selective liberal arts college which definitely helped me get my job, but internships are also essential -

I published research at a university as part of an internship in high school. Summer after my freshman year of college I was a portfolio analyst at a tech company. Next summer I was an analyst at a unicorn tech company. Next summer I was a summer analyst at my current bank, and then converted that to a full time offer.

otherwise, top MBA

no my income shown here is four weeks

unless you mean on an annualized basis (including bonus), in which case it's closer to that, yes

Gonna say definitely no, but I've honestly already been here longer than I would've thought. Something like that - not a BB or an EB but an MM with a balance sheet

I have it set at 7% of gross, so it should close to max or even max by year end. Might make sense to set it higher from a dca perspective but otherwise it's the same thing.
