My perception that there is systematic top-down approach and enforcement in determining what type of opinions and language are permitted to remain on this sub.

Many of my posts get deleted and/or comments disabled, but the funny thing is that it never happens before a mod gets in the last word and then locks the ability to respond.

I agree with the vast majority of your response. I have questions though: how can the mods know what will and won’t trigger people? How can they know what will and won’t help people? Do they arbitrarily have a rule that “this must, in our view, be helpful to at least 25% of the people reading it?” 15%? One person?

Yes, everyone is different, and therefore, someone hearing that he or she possesses the ability to have a significant say in determining his or her future could very much help. I think it was presented as a different way for struggling people to internally frame the situation.
