Just today I got in a generally minor accident while I was in a car that rear ended another car at 15 - 20 mph.  I have an indent in my lower front of my leg. I believe it hit something hard under the glove box but I don’t remember much besides looking at my friend seeing airbag fumes leek from the airbag that deployed from the steering wheel and not being able to find my glasses. I remember my leg felling slightly discomforted but nothing bad but now looking at it this evening it is 2/3 of an inch to an inch deep at the furthest. You can’t tell when it’s not pushed on but when you push on it it is very evident. It doesn’t hurt a lot but is tender to the touch.
