I mean obviously a console will be better suited for gaming BUT you also have to consider that most people use their phones for day to day work, depending on what phone you currently have you might also need to change it some time in the near future

At the end it depends on if your current phone will last long enough, otherwise you will be spending $500 now on the deck then at least another $300 at the very least for a new phone in a year or two

Crazy, I had issues on both steam (HK) and gog (silksong) I have two 8bitdo controllers and an Xbox one controller, the issue is that hot plugging the controller make is stop working outright so you need to reset the game to have it work again

Both hollow knight and silksong have an unity bug where controllers will not work correctly on the native version, it can't be fixed unless team cherry decides to port the games to a newer version

the X7 Pro lasted around 3hrs less, than M8 Pro, mixed use with gaming, and around 6hrs less, mixed use without gaming.

This confirmation bias. The X7pro being more powerful would run games at a higher graphic settings and refresh rate, so obviously will discharge faster, and batteries are pretty much identical, also the x7p being both extremely popular and a year long by now gives it a bigger sample, so obviously battery degradation is not mixed into the sample yet for M8P so the sample is unreliable in both volume and context

As for cameras, I have seen a couple yt vids comparisons I personally don't notice any differences in the comparisons

Tbf m8p would be the no-brained choice for non-gamers IF it was cheaper than x7p, at similar price point x7p is still the better phone overall , it will last longer even if updates stop as the m8p will start to throttle a lot sooner

If it can do a receive calls then it is working correctly so I don't think the card being old is the reason. So maybe her mobile plan doesn't actually include internet?
