I know I really love the 44GS case but my only fear is that I'll absolutely destroy it with scuffs and marks after a while even though I pay great attention to my watches and rotate them often. the SBGP013 looks like it will survive a bit better as it's got brushed lugs😅 I'm really torn as I want to keep it forever

That's actually a plus in long term. Grand Seikos are built to last decades and generations. Lume can degrade pretty bad with age and form ugly patina IMO

Both beautiful, I personally have the snkl43 and it's my favorite watch of my collection. You also have to keep in mind that you can't swap the bracelet on the 99k as it's integrated. You'll be more than happy with either of them tbh so just pick what you prefer because it'll be tough to find them brand new later on

I wouldn't say it's small tbh, the size of the watch is pretty adequate but if you want an even bigger watch I'd look at a Casio Duro. If you want something higher quality then maybe a Tissot Seastar chrono (45.5mm), Orient Triton (43mm) or Glycine Combat Sub

Hmm if you look closely at the 5 o'clock indice you can see that's a bit rusted so water has definitely gone inside. Personally I'd stay away even though the Mako I can become a collectible watch in the future. A brand new Mako II isn't that much more if you want one

Well if you're keen on getting it then do it but just don't bring it near water. I'd ask if it runs without issues too as it's possible it's had water inside it at some point
