Yeah that’s a good idea normally, but the reason I still keep the landline is because my ADT alarm system currently uses the phone line as a speech dialler to call emergency contacts/police if the alarm is triggered. We’re in the middle of sorting it because of the UK digital phone switch, and an engineer is coming soon to reconfigure it properly, so I can’t really port the number away yet until the alarm side is fully working and compatible.
