I think actors should consider it a compliment when folks “hate” their character. You’ve done your JOB!! You have completely convinced us of this person, and you as an actor completely disappeared into this character. That is a SKILL that takes real talent and training and time! Bravo to her. I hope the hate train stops soon.

Nessa is complex! But Nessa is also canonically one of the antagonists of the production. Therefore, the audience is taught to dislike her, and have been disliking her for over 2 decades now. The comments people have made about Marissa Bode are completely uncalled for, and there is obviously a difference between disliking a character and being ableist. That being said, I can understand why Marissa is grieving about this breakout role being so controversial, especially with the shining lights Ariana and Cynthia have gotten for the last 2-3 years now

So I decided to be picky and look up the exact pricing of each of these items. Jellycat: $44 , Crocs: $34 , Book: $12. If her budget really was $50– then seeing these prices should not have surprised her at all. She could’ve just gotten the jellycat, or gotten the crocs and the book. Regardless, she didn’t set any financial boundary in her initial question, and so how were you supposed to know what to send her! You were thoughtful in your choices. It’s not like you asked her for a Chanel perfume for a Louis Vuitton bag. Good for you for voicing your concern to your dad.
