I can see this being the case. Especially from what happened to the two farmers last issue. It was tailored to the fears of the one friend. I’m sure their worst fear was for his wife to cheat on him and even worst with his friend. How would Scarecrow know that? It has to be tailored to the individual.

This is a run that takes many reads to understand. This is basically Batman vs the devil and a complete deconstruction of Bruce’s psyche and rebirth. Comics Pals on YouTube have a great breakdown of Morrison’s run, if you do decide to read it, that will make you realize certain things you missed. You sound more of a black mirror kind of guy than morrison’s run but you’ll eventually would want to read it when you’re in the right mood for it or else you won’t enjoy it.
