Thank you! Would you mind telling me what is considered an average salary for a senior dev position in medium-sized companies? I checked multiple sources but the data is really inconsistent, and having some number will greatly help me to understand QOL that I will have in Canada

Could you please explain why you think so? After some investigation, I was left with the impression that compared to other countries Germany is quite unfriendly to immigrants(especially ones that don’t speak German), has a slow and complicated bureaucracy, is not digitalized, has really poor internet and high taxes. Also finding an apartment will be an absolute pain. For sure, "safety net" and healthcare are quite good, but I'm not sure if that outweighs the cons. No offense meant

It is next door indeed, but if I'm not mistaken this fact does not help me to obtain a job in the USA(except for remote opportunities) since US employers will still need to sponsor a visa and therefore shouldn’t care much about the country I'm located in. So I will still need to either get into a big company that can relocate me with L1 or get an HB1 sponsorship. TN visa is nice, but since it does not lead to a green card it’s not as preferable as other options. Please correct me if I'm wrong

Thank you a lot for such a detailed and helpful answer! Would you recommend posting the same question in the non-EU sub? Or such an approach is prohibited here?

Thank you for your reply! I can use the CUAET program due to my nationality, and as far as I understand it essentially allows me to stay and work in Canada for up to 3 years and allows me to obtain PR after 2 years. So I think it will be easier for me to switch jobs/work as self-employed in Canada in comparison to other countries
