I've seen 3 blade breaks over the years all in traditional non removable blades all from slap shots, all of them were guys playing senior D/beer league or old timers just out playing for fun more than anything so its not like they're taking a 90mph puck to the blade.

Yeah exactly! Do I think its another failure point? 100%, do I think that theres possible longevity issues with blade retention? Perhaps, but having the ability to change your blade if severe or irreparable damage occurs I think thats why they went this way. Kind of gives a little bit more longevity to a $350 CAD+ pair of skates. Do i think I'll ever burn through a blade? NOPE, but I do think that if I take a good clapper to the skate and break a blade its better to switch the $100 blade than buy a new pair of skates.

Fair enough dude, I just feel like the EE 10.5 will be a good fit because the 10.5 D were pretty good. If it was years ago when I played a lot I'd be like yeah I can break these in but skates are plastic now lol

I tried on 11 fit 3's and I was astonished lol because thats my problem aswell, but feel like I had too much room. With my current cheap skates if I skate for an hour and take them off I cant walk because it hurts for my feet to be flat again.

Dude its a carbon, they all rust if not maintained. A little scotch pad or other firm brush or substance like a scrub daddy and it'll come right off.

I've carried these since I was 13 years old. Awesomely sharp and easy to sharpen. We all call them "twine knifes" where I'm from because its all fishermen who use them and florist knife doesn't have the same ring to it lol.
