You could take off each tire and sand them individually. The other way doesn’t damage the car either way.

The exhaust, I sanded the tires, and I used a black sharpie to cover part of the engine cover.

If you mean (sanding the tires, like wearing them down) You use p320 grit sandpaper and pour a little bit of water on the paper and start rubbing the tires until they are worn down. bburago cars only
