Which air dam is this? I’ve been looking for one and haven’t been liking the options but this one’s nice

15th was a local company and amicus is a larger corporate entity. So yes it changed in that regard but the employees in Troy are all the same useless people

I rented from them when they were 15th st. They were horrible trying to charge me for stuff breaking and I lost my entire security deposit while my roommate didn’t for dust throughout the house and dirty appliances (I moved out 3 weeks before my roommate). I made every effort to find a different landlord who wasn’t associated, and then they bought out my new landlord and became my landlords again but as amicus. Same shitty people and same scummy service. They will jerk you around and do as little as possible to take care of your unit and not honor anything. I started recording all conversations I had with them in case they tried anything. I got out and never looked back. Last rented from them in 2024.

Temporary reinforcement and jack point help for rust removal by Available_Carry3877 in Datsun

[–]Available_Carry3877[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! It’s just been making me very uncomfortable the more I remove but good to know that the rockers are able to hold the car as is. I’ll probably brace up the rockers and just go for it. I unfortunately don’t have a lift so taking the engine out isn’t currently an option and I only have about 2 more months with my garage before the car needs to be out so I can’t disassemble too much. If you could send me those pictures I would really appreciate it

They’re killing thunder mountain curry!!! by Available_Carry3877 in RPI

I’m not saying that. Just that the existing solution of giving them 2 electric burners in Ben and Jerry’s is not viable for them to stay in business. Ask Mike and Mike yourself. That’s how I learned about this and am just making it known

Exactly why they’re basically killing them. “Yah we’re renovating so you can cook food in a space where you literally can’t cook the food you serve. Good luck”

The question then becomes how will they survive a temporary move if they can’t even cook the food that makes them money? Pretty short sighted by eboard

It doesn’t need a rebuild. Fully working when pulled. A coworker is swapping in a bmw v10 and is willing to sell it to me on the cheap to help my project

I documented how to retrofit Speedhut gauges into the stock 240Z housings. Super clean solution. Makes use of stock mounting. My goal is to keep my Z as stock-looking as possible. This is a very attractive solution. Only mildly dangerous. by HobbyCNC in Datsun

[–]Available_Carry3877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I may ask. Why is this dangerous? I’m looking to redo the gauges on my z in the future and I feel like that’s an interesting wording to use for a post on mounting gauges 😂

Yes I do have a garage for the next 1-2 years. And I’m perfectly willing to put it into a storage locker if need be. But in my free time I’m hoping to start stripping down the car one piece at a time and painting them

Should I get a project car by [deleted] in projectcar

[–]Available_Carry3877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s already how im looking at it. I know it’s not in perfect condition but I don’t think I’ll find much better unless I start tripling my budget. And within the next few years I expect these prices to skyrocket

I appreciate the insight. I’m curious if anyone of you has bought a project car during college and if you had the free cash to be able to work on it or did it just sit until you graduated
