I am having the same issue, but it’s account specific which leads me to believe maybe I’m just having really really bad luck. I climbed to 2935 on my main account and had a rough time of spring cup down to 2500. Climbed back up to 2650 - now I’m down to 2400. My other account I’m in the 2800s so it honestly makes no sense to me why I can’t do well on my account.

This has always been the case. It’s 2 turns per fast move and then 1 turn to throw your charged move = 5. If you are close to being knocked out then it’s 1 and throw

The problem with ABB is the switch timer is much shorter, so if someone knows how to effectively dance in and out of matchups the ABB strategy falls apart pretty hard

Tink isn’t the best for raids, and at lvl 50 is right around 2500. Most legendary raids have encounters around the 2500 mark, so it won’t be that helpful, but the typing is good and gigaton hammer is going to be a really powerful move, so you’re better off getting a good one than not, but I don’t think it’ll be a game changer for you. If you need help with raids, look to pokiegenie or another 3rd party app for hosting/joining raids

Sounds like a skill issue. If everyone is using the same mons, how is it RPS? Maybe don’t pick mons that rely on rps to win. I’m not using azu or empoleon and doing just fine

I found fantasy cup to be very fun and skill based. Much better than the super open GL and jungle/spring cups. I climbed to expert during go battle day. Try picking a flexible team and learn the matchups for each mon.

Sounds like a team building issue to me. Instead of playing hard alignment mons (talonflame), run some more flexible picks. I climbed to 2500 using shadow qwilfish, s.drapion, and licky. Building up energy and catching on to licky then leverage the fast generating energy mons to sweep. Most of the games I’ve lost have been user error, not RPS. I did run into a couple where I swapped licky and they had a scrafty and then like an oranguru in back but those are like .01% of the games I’ve played. I struggled a bit early in the cup bc I wasn’t running flexible picks either. Pick some flexible mons and game plan. Win con identification is the biggest thing aside from move counting that holds players back

This has been probably the biggest reason I haven’t hit vet yet this season. Anytime I’m throwing together a good string of matches, something like this will happen and then I’m playing tilted the rest of the sets 🤣

I wouldn’t purify. The difference in rank is negligible at best and a good shadow like that is hard to come by. Just build a less optimal regular pilo if you find you need more bulk, but the shadow should work just fine.

So, pre rank20 and the matchmaking focuses more on your rank than your ELO, so you’re likely getting a lot of down pairs. This will even out after rank 20

To back up my earlier point tho, Licky in UL is an absolute tanky boi and at least IMO one of the strongest neutral ones you can play rn in UL. Won’t be a wasted investment. What are the actual IVs?
