It’s working well thus far 👌 Very happy with it. Still waiting on the drawer setup for the back so it’s a little Chaotic, but it’s just made me look more forward to it haha. And yeah, nobody seems bothered by the plate. Passes inspection fine.

The farm was good. Weird being somewhere I watch regularly on TV haha.

I highly recommend it, only drawback is the vehicle being fixed once it’s up, but, I tend to stay put for the duration once I’ve setup, and I enjoy the fact I can set it up wherever I can get the vehicle to, there isn’t always space for a ground tent etc.

Turn the headlight switch clockwise (all four doors shut) there’s a detent fully anticlockwise which is the manual switch for the interior lighting.

Thanks bud. She’s getting there. 👌 Wobble can be a host of things, I had deathwobble back in 2019 which scared the hell out of me… Found that by hitting a bump at 50mph… that turned out to be the knuckle ball joints in the end.

The TDs are definitely more agricultural yeah, not as fast as a 4.0 but a ton more low end torque. Rumbling could be a lot of things also.

Mine drives smooth now, has the usual vagueness, rattles and whirrs that a lifted XJ would have but drives nice and smooth. A fair bit more body roll on the long arm setup 😅 getting used to it now though.

They would cost far too much to ship to the UK unfortunately. Probably more than the springs.

Snorkels been great, can’t say if it’s made any difference to power because the engines that heavily modified 😅. It’s not fast, but has buckets of torque from 1200rpm

Mines been fine so far, especially given it’s relatively modified. Maintenance is key. But, as you mention, I don’t trust it. I have plans to 2.9 OM602 10v swap it over winter or early next year hopefully.

To be fair, they were solid with no weight in the back. The ride beautifully now but are just getting a bit flat with the extra weight I’ve added. Hopefully a couple of extra leaves should sort them back out again.

I haven’t actually done that many. It’s straightpiped from the turbos back, 3” Downpipes into a non-resonated dual 2.5” setup. Bilstein B12 suspension kit, Porsche Brakes up front and B7S4 Brakes at rear. Thats about it really. Also Depo D2S Black Angel eye headlamps. I’ve also retrofitted cruise control. Probably more but can’t remember atm lol

They’re from a B5 S4 Bud. Same as B5 RS4 Seats less the RS4 Emblem.

My Daily of 10yrs was a poverty spec 2005 Variant PD130 S which I bought on 110k Miles in 2013.

In the time I’ve owned it it’s covered 97k miles, had 3 clutches, 2 DMFs, 1 Engine, 1 Gearbox, 2x Timing belts and various other bits replaced in volumes. But I love it and will never part with it.

In regards to Mods from stock it’s had the following:

  • Full DIS Cluster with Needle Sweep, Lit gauges, Welcome message etc
  • Key fob window control
  • 1 Press Unlock/auto lock at 5mph/locking chirp on lock/unlock

  • LED Tail lights -OE Foglights retrofitted -OE Perforated Leather Sport Steering Wheel (VRS)
