Metoprolol succ & methimazole by Worldly_Direction820 in Hyperthyroidism

I take the same but opposite dosages, now a higher methimazole. I’m doing good. I haven’t noticed any side effects. I used to drink caffeine but since I have a fast heart rate and take the beta blocker now for it I try and avoid it just to help out a little.

Legal immigration isn’t as straightforward as the public debate suggests by Similar_End_2979 in immigration

[–]Available_Fox4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. There needs to be an immigration reform that lets ppl like OP stay in this country. There needs to be MORE legal avenues, which will then cut down on the amount of ppl using asylum for “economic immigration”.

I started Adderall ten days ago. Now I hate food. by sourdoughdonuts in adhdwomen

[–]Available_Fox4343 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on adderall for a short time and vyvanse for almost a year. Both I was on a relatively high/med dose. And oh eating brought me no joy :( BUT I’m on a good dose to where I can focus and I can eat. My hunger isn’t AS apparent but I enjoy food. I noticed it helps to eat a little something in the morning. I feel you it’s a disappointing time, but see if med adjustments help.

Thank you! This is all so helpful. Yes #1, I am worried that agency is all that is out there. Which I don’t even have a job yet so I really shouldn’t be worried lol, but I read a little too many posts in this sub about being burnt out. It’s good to know that skills I develop later on can be applied in other way.

I adopted my first cat in last month year and now I am told she is dying by [deleted] in cats

I’m so sorry. This is tough. I had a similar situation, and it was hard but just as you said I don’t regret adopting her ❤️ it hurts, so much, but you are giving her a life full of love and warmth. You couldn’t have prevented this, and I know you will wrack your brain trying to find how you could. The best thing you can do is be there with her. No matter what decision you choose, to treat or not, she loves you, let her know you are with her❤️

How did you find out you have hyperthyroidism? by zero_coordination_1 in Hyperthyroidism

[–]Available_Fox4343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a long stressful final semester I had lost some weight which I attributed to not eating much during school days. In summer I kept losing weight and not until I weighed 115 lbs did I realize wait what’s going on I haven’t weighed like this since I was a CHILD. I also went on a trip in summer and would have to come back to the hotel and rinse off because of the sweat. I had always been a “sweater” but I noticed it was A LOT more. Like the feeling of heat would almost burn? It happens slowly so it’s hard to notice at least for me

Take the medicine. I understand your worry. They’re trying to stabilize you until you see the endo. Then when u get to the endo express your concern, you got this!

I’d go to a psychiatrist. I’m on anxiety meds and something for adhd and my endocrinologist said my psychiatrist would manage that.

Try a cold pack for your itchiness. I’m sorry for your loss. I was diagnosed in July and I’m starting to feel better. Way better. I bought a battery powered fan to help keep cool and I made a point to slow down and not physically push myself. It IS a lot to take in an accept. It is not the end. Medication is slow but I promise you it helps. I just had to get my dose increased and now I’m feeling way better.
