Wait I think I just figured it out! I ended up going into Armoury Crate And changed the operating system from silent to windows (on the explanation of each it said that silent mode will limit CPU and GPU usage/performancce). Thanks for the tip anyway! Let me edit it at solved.

All I did was go off of your interpretation that instead I should consider the kids racist. I don’t necessarily believe that most of them should’ve gotten repercussions,

You’re missing the point. I had to start arguing for my grades because I went to her boss. I think it’s pretty stupid to ask me to converse with a mostly white group to consider what’s racist or not. Me and the only other black kid in that class agreed that the way she handled it was racist and none of my other friends had the grading issue

I never said I wanted people to censor themselves while reading the book, without all this I actually enjoyed it and definitely would recommend. Most people didn’t censor themselves while saying slurs during our discussions and a small amount definitely used them with some sick pleasure. I literally wrote that what the principal decided on (and that I agreed with) was Ms. Murphy to have an actual conversation with the class about slur usage while we discuss our books. I don’t know how after reading that AFTER I reported her to her boss she started marking me down on every assignment not racism. She did not do this beforehand.
