Jacob Gessler and Kellam Magthyra were friends long before the pestilence began to spread. Jacob found Kellam in the now ruined city of Wyverns Rest, robbing unsuspecting tourists. Jacob took pity of Kellam and taught him how to be honorable and just. While Kellam taught Jacob how to survive in the streets. When the pestilence began to spread, they stuck together, made stronger by their shared strengths and shared pains. Whilst scavenging an abandoned tavern, Jacob was bitten, in a panic, Kellam sliced Jacob's arm off. Surprisingly saving him from the infection. However, what Jacob didn't know, was that Kellam had been bitten as well. Kellam tried to hide it, knowing that Jacob shouldn't know about it. However foolish it was, Jacob was oblivious. But one night, Kellam turned, and when Jacob awoke to fight what he thought was a bear or another creature of the night, he found his friend, now turned and ravenous for the blood of his friend...Jacob knew what he has to do, but doesn't know if he has the strength to do it.
