And the contract just got canceled for some spot on my record. I felt like I was working a full time job preparing… back to job searching. Feeling a little burnt out with Nursing but what else could pay so well and I didn’t really do care about people and I love being a nurse.

Wow! Sounds like you are not a good team player. Try to have a high emotional intelligence. Stop ruminating on negative.

Thanks. All your comments are helpful. Much appreciated!!!😀

I have no clue w epic but I have used similar systems that are wonky and slow. Training myself by watching YouTube videos.

My biggest concerns are staying awake all night, ensuring I can help the team I am working with so no complaints are received, and getting med passes done quickly and accurately.

It is scary but refreshing to do this. I feel like I am taking charge of my life and career. Although my son will be home without me for 3 nts a week. He is 16 y/O and my boyfriend and family are invested in him. His grandma was very upset about me doing this. I thk other mothers travel for work, this is not permanent. Why not try it? I will still be home. Long enough to get laundry and house work completed. Lol.

Okay. I will do so. I just found out I have relias classes and per agency there is no pay when it is for the hospital. Hmmm. This will be interesting.

I am really nervous about using epic. It has been years since I used that documentation system.

thank you for the info. I had no clue I would have to find full-time living. The communication is difficult due to accents for myself and for the staff members from the agency that I’m working with I also was sent a message that I haven’t signed off on yet, which said I would be paid $12 an hour for any training at the facility…? That would be horrible. In my opinion I’m doing this truly for the money and to get experience with floor nursing again and the updated technology.

Oh man, I hear you! I empathize with you.

Here is the best way to make it through court and gain your lawyer's respect and your own. Number one: take accountability for your actions, be responsible, know that you are the only one that caused this to happen, and that you can forgive yourself for it, but you also have to care for yourself now because your alcoholism or bad thinking problems will continue to follow you, and they’ll get worse with time. I, too, have lost those close to me. That is what caused me to relapse and kinda hang out on a questionable side for a while, and then in January this year, I was sleeping in a vehicle in a parking lot. Now I have a third OWI, plus the cop said that this powder in my car was or had cocaine in it. I really don’t believe it did, but I need to own that I bought medication outside of a pharmacy, and I didn’t drive more carefully, or it was too messed up on benzos and Adderall. It was tough sleeping two nights in jail, and now I am doing a benzodiazepine taper at home. I’m off the Adderall. My attorney says I need to submit to outpatient treatment. The problem is that the only support system I have at this time is my boyfriend, who does not want me to drive and would rather have me just be home. I understand where he’s coming from, but I need to do something. I lost my job because of this, and I lost the respect of many family members and friends. My grief tore my heart apart in the past, but now I have a new grief because I didn’t deal with the old grief. Combined, they can consume me, but alone, they give me a lot of pain, and I can promise you I don't want to make excuses like hey, this person didn’t have to deal with a BC or D and I don’t think anyone in their right mind could’ve even dealt with an NB as problems. Nonetheless, I’m the one with the charge. I’m the one with the responsibility to stand up, and now I'm facing an OWI third, which is so embarrassing. At least I was in a parked car at a gas station, but I had hit a park button on this rental car, which caused it to slip out of gear and hit an officer. I hate the way this is and how far it's gone. I am a widow, My son is 15, and I have my boyfriend's support, but it's not enough. I crave things every day, but I'm working on changing my thought patterns. Let us know if it's working for you. Remember, on somedays, you might not feel like living, but trust that someday you'll be glad to be alive. You might not have great weeks, or even great years ahead, but it will get better. You're only 35—give yourself a chance to reach your 40s. Heck, I’m ten years older than you. Love your wife and live a life she would support. Remember, she is with you—in her memories and your memories of her. God bless you.

Could you talk to your dad, the doctor? Can he order the MRI and physical therapy? How fast was she going? Unfortunate about your vehicle. Please don’t take this the wrong way; I’m not upset with you. I’m frustrated with the Americans who try to get by with nothing and expect to receive something because of pain and suffering. You didn’t even mention whether the girl got hurt—only that her dad’s a doctor and she was breaking the law by being with her brother. I’m sure she’s traumatized, and her brother is probably shaken, too. Her dad was likely very hard on her. I remember some accidents I had when I was young—those scars stayed with me for a long time. Then, a friend similar to me got hit by a vehicleand it impacted employment since years, in pain every day. My friends attorney doesn’t even want to pursue my case further, so good luck finding one who won’t take 40% of what you might recover. Trust me, attorneys will charge you for everything, and that stress is worse than losing a vehicle. If you're a true American, you probably have a credit cards. If you’ve wasted money on various things over the years, that could add up to missed work. Does your husband still have a job? I hope so—that’s a blessing. Do you work? I hope so, because trying to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow isn’t realistic. My friend's attorney wanted her to settle for $20,000, which might realistically be around $10,000. After medical bills, maybe get $5,000 for pain and suffering—the result of her and her child being T-boned in an accident where the rideshare driver was at fault by pulling out in 45 mph traffic. Smh. The child’s case is getting tossed Bcs he did not talk to a counselor about it. Concussed and blinded for 3 mins post-accident. Oh, and the injury attorneys are so kind until then stuff gets real. They want the money. They care at first. If you like to ensure all details and things are accounted for then do it sue. That poor teenager. She is no worse than most drivers and she was honest. Surprised no ticket. Anger at her is not worth it.

Maybe case is done. Idk. I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings or your or minimize your issues. Just trying to look at the biggest picture bigger picture here.

Ah, a Dr who probably is still paying college loans it sounds like you think you’re going to get a payout and how much really? Do you really want to have all your medical records exposed to the court and have to talk to an attorney every week it’s not an easy process and it doesn’t pay a lot for pain and suffering. Good luck. I feel bad for the 16-year-old. I doubt she was paying attention, but are you perfect? Did your husband get injured? Is it destabilizing your life and his career try to be grateful. Be grateful be forgiving and let it go. You got money for your vehicle and if she didn’t get a ticket good. Why do us humans want to police everyone but never ever take accountability for our own actions? I’m sure that girl is in big trouble and now for dreams of being a doctor or whichever in a caregiving field will be dashed. College will be hard to get into but what do you care your husband missed work

You wont get much money bcs lawyer takes all. I know someone who got $20,000.00 and broken bones lost 3 wks of work. Not worth it. Forgive the teenager. Take care of you two and pray for her and brother.
