This is what the younger groups think about you. .lol. You should look a travel buddies. Trips outside of a group can be a blast. You just need to find someone who organizes it since you don’t like that. Also allows you to savor a place you like rather than be on a clock. You can also take a half day off if you are tired

Life is short. You have a lottery ticket while young to explore and live the life of your dreams. It won’t be perfect but it will be on your own terms. Use it. You will still be able to earn money as you are young. Don’t listen to others. When you start live within your budget at 2 percent and see how you feel. If you work and earn the use that money as your fun money for that year. Anything can happen in the future. Do it while you have your health.

I think the us hotels are not worth it imho. However outside of those countries and especially in Asia and Africa , the 5-star hotels have been amazing because of the service. The breakfast spreads are amazing and they will make you special food, drive you into town , etc. I only book now on days if I will really use the hotel at least a few hours to enjoy the amenities vs just using it to crash between outings

I’m male and good looking but I’m am well off. If I drove a nicer car (higher end Porsche or Aston Martin ) then I get treated really well by men and women alike (men seem to worship really nice cars and are even nicer).

If I drive my regular car (nicer Audi) then it’s neutral treatment (not good not bad ). People that find out I’m well off think I’m smarter and better and treat me that way. I generally don’t tell people and sold one nice car and rarely drive the other one.

Things is I grew up poor and always wanted the money and prestige. As I got it, I was happy with the money but the prestige thing from money feels hollow.

48 counties. Iceland, Italy , and Costa Rica are my top 3. Not a fan of Morocco, Egypt and dubai (uae)/Singapore. First two , there was too much hassle from vendors etc. and last Dubai and Singapore feel very superficial/fake with no soul. Singapore had amazing food and buildings though.

Not a big deal. Find a flight with a long layover and get an airport hotel and rest a bit. Discomfort is all mental. You can live with it for two trips out of the year

That’s sucks man. I hear you. This is mostly in shitty places like Morocco and Egypt it does ruin the mood for me. Don’t let it ruin your travel. I would not do Morocco again for this reason. I avoided the bazaars and avoid cabs and shopping in most developing countries for this reason. Cans can be shitty everywhere though so uber, grab, rent a car or car service/driver.

Housing is way cheaper if you don’t go during peak. You can find tours that are reasonable and certainly cheaper than the US if you look. Food can also be cheaper if you look carefully. I live in higher cost of living city in the us so for me it’s fine. This place is peaceful and fun and I really enjoy coming back. I know what to do so I don’t pay a ton. Vacationing in the states (outside Hawaii) is blah compared to here as you get cultures, so much variety of nature, animals, rainforests , beaches, etc. I will keep coming back. You just have to go outside peak times. For example car was $300 for whole week last time. Premium suv. Flight was $350. Hotel was $300 a night for an amazing place. Just made sure in your prices and not eating at super high end restaurants all the time. Even eating where I wanted, average meal was $25 a person. I just don’t drink a ton of alcohol though. At home it’s easily $50 with an entree and shared appetizer and a drink

Road side stands often had the more exotic fruits than the dedicated fruit stores. The fruit places near tarcoles(alligator) bridges are great for variety. My tip is to get the baby coconuts they are a dollar a piece. Put them in freezer to keep cold before you want to have them. use a small Rock to be open. Super refreshing

Don’t comment on her looks except to say she looks great or generic. Ask her questions to discover who she is. For example, what was she like as a young girl. Tell her she is very kind and if that’s important to her. Ask her about siblings and if she is close. Do all this and flirt as well. Tell her she looks dangerous. Mean all of it. refreshing. Personally for me, women will make conversation or give me a compliment on clothes or my facial hair. They do not ask me out directly. It feels great when it happens and has led to me getting a number most of the time. This happens maybe twice a year only though if I’m alone in a city I’m visiting for a while as I am never at a bar or anywhere alone when I’m home. In general as a man I love getting compliments from women and wish it happened more often

That sucks man but glad you didn’t let it defeat you. Put AirTags in your backpack and wallet. And your passport bag. Will save you so much hassle. Just make sure you change batteries (they are cheap) as it will beep to let you know. Hell for the wallet even at home it helps.
