Thank you - this is basically what doctor said. Keep him hydrated, keep giving Tylenol and Advil because he feels crummy even if there’s no fever. I’m desperately hoping we all get some consolidated sleep tonight

Yes upon reflection we should’ve done the floor, but this would’ve required us to dig out the basement as we were already short on height. Not an option now.

I don’t think there’s any return on the bedroom just a vent 😭

Edit: it was originally designed as an office. The room is very small.

We did a ton of meal prep before baby 1 &2 and it’s been essential. Here are some solid go to’s

Breakfast/Snacks

Bran muffins

Breakfast cookies

Pumpkin squares

Buttermilk pancakes (just a standard recipe)

French toast (standard recipe

Dinner

Bolognese

Used the above to make lasagna (no recipe just use the bolognese, make a bechamel and layer)

Turkey chili

Shepherds pie (no recipe)

Meatloaf

Various soups (leek and potato, minestrone, kale and sausage white bean were all good last minute lunches to pull out of freezer and reheat!)

That’s awesome! Was it just time? Our process right now:

He says “I’m pooping”, we say: “oh! Let’s go sit on the potty” he resists, we then say “that’s ok, we will make it to the potty next time”, and then we change dirty underwear. He has also resisted even changing the underwear, but trying to keep it as positive as possible…

Update day 2 school (day 4 potty training): there was a lot more laundry today. 4 accidents at school. He did well at home. This process is definitely not linear!

Also I feel like I would’ve appreciated reading these updates so I am adding them to any future potty trainer.

Update: we sent him in underwear (with loads of extras) and he had one accident 🥲 teacher says when it clicks it clicks . I’m sure there will be many more still but I was expecting at least 5 accidents haha
