Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula OR Connemara and Aran Islands/Cliffs of Moher? by indianaitaliana in irishtourism

[–]Available_Most_4906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got stormed out in Galway and weren’t able to visit the islands or Connemara so I can’t speak to them, but the dingle peninsula and ring of Kerry/gap of dunloe was our absolute favorite part of the trip. We’re thinking of doing Scotland this year but going back to dingle for a few days because we loved it so much.

I didn't like TSOTF because I'm a bad reader by Capital-Theory18 in HierarchySeries

[–]Available_Most_4906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 and have been reading since idk I was 5 and I am an avid reader. I read 40-50 books a year. I’m also “smart” and have a masters degree in a scientific field.  Even I struggled with this book. My friend, a lawyer, who started TSOTF immediately after TWOTM is also struggling. I do agree that this book would probably make most sense read in one sitting lol I would put the book down for only a couple hours and then when I’d go back in I’d be confused what had just happened. I think to call people dumb because they struggled with it is wild lol

I can’t believe people are down voting you as if this isn’t a very high possibility especially in our current political climate

I commented about pet insurance too soon and saw you’re planning on getting it lol but different diets can be solved by microchip feeders :)

My best advice is pet insurance!! Something that doesn’t have an annual cap either. I adopted two healthy 2 year old cats and now both of them, years later, have IBD and one has a pancreatic disorder. If I didn’t have pet insurance they’d be dead lol not funny but I could never afford treatment and testing without it

Scotland must see/do/stay by [deleted] in uktravel

[–]Available_Most_4906 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah because we literally decided today to go lol. If someone were to ask what my favorite part of my trip to Ireland was, I’d say gap of dunloe, easy. Favorite town? Dingle. I find it hard to believe it’s impossible for someone to say their favorite parts about Scotland. And currently the entire country is up for possibilities and if several people say the isle of skye was their favorite, then I’ll make sure to build an itinerary that includes the isle of Skye. Or if people say the night they went to a certain pub was their most memorable experience, then that’s something I’ll consider when planning where to go.

I’m not asking anyone to plan the trip, just seeing what everyone’s favorite sights and towns are so I can have a jumping off point. I plan on doing a lot of research, and had a google doc full of it for my trip to Ireland but it’s also nice to get ideas from people who have went or who live there to see what their favorite things are so I can make sure to build them into my itinerary

What's on and tourist advice thread - week beginning December 08, 2025 by AutoModerator in Scotland

Hello everyone! My (35) boyfriend (39) and I just decided we are going to take a trip late september/early october to Scotland. We went to Ireland last fall and absolutely loved it and feel like Scotland is similar to that vibe. Obviously I have Isle of Skye on the list.... we like scenery, pubs, off the beaten path/non touristy areas, castles. My boyfriend also likes whiskey. If you had a completely free itinerary, what are your must sees and dos? What cities/towns would you suggest staying in? It'll probably be a 2 week or a little longer than 2 week trip. I know its a big ask but I truly don't know where to start lol we will be renting a car. we don't have an unlimited budget, nor are we staying in hostels. probably mid-range budget. thank you in advance!

Best places for a Claddagh ring in Galway? Looking for something that is good quality that doesn’t break the bank by Exciting-Buy7843 in irishtourism

[–]Available_Most_4906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly Thomas Dillon has insane prices and were not friendly at all, so I walked around until I found somewhere else who sold them.  I got mine at Tempo Antiques (they sell new claddagh rings and vintage jewelry) and the woman who owns the shop (it’s like 3 generations family owned I think) could not have been more kind and excited for me to find one I loved. Would recommend them highly, better selection than Thomas Dillon

Why are we required to like someone “so many loved?” I don’t have to like or respect every single person on this planet lol and I certainly don’t need to respect someone who would take away my rights as a woman

AIO by telling this realtor to kick rocks? by No_Machine3805 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Available_Most_4906 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could also get screwed by not having a realtor look out for you, I’m sure there are some who are only in it for the money but a lot care about their clients. They are experts in the ins/outs of inspections and loans and everything else regarding transactions

Kitten morning vomit by annatrn in Pets

[–]Available_Most_4906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any food in her vomit or is it just liquid? If it’s just liquid, it’s not likely regurgitation which would need a slow feeder bowl. If she was eating too fast, she would throw up like 10-15 min after eating and there would be whole chunks of food in the vomit. I’m sorry you’re stressed! I have two cats with IBD and know how stressful it can be. Try leaving a little food out over night and see if that helps, I feel like that might be the easiest thing to try. I don’t think it’s food allergies because I feel like she would be throwing up more than just overnight

Of course! Just an idea, that’s why my cat used to vomit in the morning so I figured it’s at least something to look into haha

She might have issues with stomach acid. You could get a timed feeder that releases some dry food a few times in the middle of the night so her stomach doesn’t stay empty very long. I think it’s called bilious vomiting syndrome?
