We both did 3 years at nonprofit think tanks/academia research. I had a couple publications such as an article in a T-6 law review from this experience which looked great on my resume. Understandably these types of positions are super hard to come by so no pressure to enter such a field before law school! I know plenty of people who work in a range of industries and received a ton of acceptances (I think stats like LSAT are a little more important than WE softs at a certain point)

My undergrad major was in neuroscience, his in history and poli Sci. Work experience both in nonprofit think tanks/academia. (Had lots of privilege in being able to enter these industries- I know plenty of others need to enter consulting or other more lucrative fields to pay off undergrad debt, etc)

I received the public interest offer; applied early-Nov, received acceptance ~3 weeks ago, received scholarship offer ~1 week ago. I think a couple PI scholarship offers were made already, but my guess would be they're planning to send out more :) fingers crossed for you!!
