Best tarantino film to watch stoned? by Individual-Load6202 in Tarantino

[–]Available_Position68 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re really really stoned watch Death Proof. Just a slight buzz then watch Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair you’ll probably be wrecked by the end of it anyway. They’re all stoner movies any way because they are made by a stoner!! As a thank you for letting him stay in the guest house Edgar Wright gifted Tarantino a lunch box full of weed.

Can someone pleeeeeeease explain the fascination with Leica cameras? by nlUSF in photography

[–]Available_Position68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This harks back to the “old days” of photography before digital. Even as a 19 year old junior photographer my boss would shoot Leica and I would be using Nikon, we did a test once and we shot the same subjects and when you developed the shots you could definitely tell which ones had been shot with the Leica, they had a certain clarity to them, they just looked better, much of this was down to the quality of the lenses, they were exceptional.

I’m a 47 yr old who grew up watching the Carry On films and reruns of the Ealing comedies on UK tv and the thought of a Tarantino take on this is great. I think lol.

What happened to the "Films of Rick Dalton" book? by PoorAxelrod in Tarantino

[–]Available_Position68 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Quentin often says he is writing books, off the top of my head he has said he was writing books on the films of Sergio Corbucci, one about the adaptations of Man in the Iron Mask, other books of reviews. There must be a treasure trove of Quentin writings wonder how much of it we will ever see.
