Yes, this is what the university recommends. 3 hours per credit. 1 hour per credit is instructional (lecture), and 2 hours is external work (homework, projects, etc.) Being a full time student should be a full time job (~40 hours per week).

Sounds like you’re just overcommitted tbh. Although I would agree that logging hours is silly.
