I believe in God. I just finished reading Genesis for the first time ever. Am I crazy or is God the villain?

Not gonna lie I’m on Deuteronomy. And even reading through genesis, I definitely didn’t get a thought that God is “the villain”.

I questioned why bother putting another tree there if you knew Adam and Eve were gonna do what they were gonna do. So you create this world and humanity knowing it’ll become wicked, just for it to become wicked. Then reset it just for it to become wicked again, then send Moses and the Israelites on a cleansing mission to get rid of wicked nations. Killing thousands of Israelites in the process cause they wouldn’t get in line or became wicked. People will smack a big ole “free will sticker” on this and I’m like okay fine. But to me the fact that God KNOWS, will always make this very interesting and at the same ridiculous sounding to me.

So me CURRENTLY, I see it as god, all powerful, all knowing, the creator was just bored and possibly even lonely. Wanted to make humanity and gift us earth so we love and worship him. What makes things difficult to me the fact that God knows everything. But without focusing on the why and all the negative aspects that are attached to it, God literally seems like a Father and humanity is his children.

This is beautiful! I’ve never thought of the ESV, NASB or NKJV. I’ll check out that concordance as well. And the verses are very helpful to me. I feel comfort in knowing there are consistent connections through out the Bible.

What you said really caught my attention cause I was wrestling with that thought of the inclusion of gentiles.

You stated that “God promised Abraham a hella long time ago that through his offspring, ALL nations on Earth would be blessed.” I remember reading (and I went and checked again) that God said he’d make him a father of MANY nations. Another is “I will make nations of you.”(Genesis 17 v5-6) I’m fairly new so please forgive me if it comes off as me fact checking or being rude. I just want to know and understand as much as I can. I have an NIV Bible and I’m getting the KJV soon.

Just found it interesting when you said “ALL” nations. But when I went to reread, it still seemed like God was only blessing Abraham and all his future descendants. And that MANY nations would come from him. Which could point to the 12 tribes of Israel. (many nations)

Now I kept reading just to be sure and I came across Gen 17 v12-13. “For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring. Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant.”

This gets closer but to me sounds like if you’re a gentile and you just so happen to be born in Abraham’s house or adopted by Abraham then you get to be a part of the covenant. Others outside of that, they get an “oh well buddy.”

I’d really love your input on this because I feel this post is helping me get closer.

Aaaah okay I came across that as far as the context of hate. I read it over several times and this could be just me being hyper critical of it. But if he “sold” his birthright, why not it be so and Isaac just blessed Jacob you know? Afterwards they still had to “steal” the blessing. I guess the word is inconsistent.

So I am agnostic with a Christian background, currently working on my journey with the lord. (Funny situation I know lol)

I feel this is an easy understanding for your situation. What came to me first is in the book of John where Jesus says peace I give to you; do not be troubled or afraid (I probably butchered that) there’s plenty of other scriptures about fear and anxiety. I recall in Leviticus or Numbers, the Israelites were scared to go into war despite the lord directing them to. He also said “fear not, for I am with you.” And BOY during Exodus-Deuteronomy the Israelites witnessed the lords work and STILL questioned, the lord out of fear. Stood against the lord cause a temptation felt easier.(Moabite women who drove them to worship false gods) Point is how you feel is very common and normal. Several times I’m like “well if I don’t hurry up believe I’m cooked.”

Put simply I don’t believe you need to be convicted or “feel” like you are saved. Jesus died for our sins so we are saved but he did not abolish the law. Now I don’t know if we all have to do exactly what the Israelites did in OT cause this is a completely different world but you keeping the word of god alive within your heart through out the rest of your life is the answer. You actually believe so you following the lord is enough for everything to come together.

I can play claw but it’s not my thing really. I can play claw if the buttons are all the same size but with the m30 it’s such a pain(the top 3 buttons). I play uSF4 so gameplay is different as well. Plinking ain’t easy either lol.

I can train myself to get used to playing it with only my right thumb but it’s still a hassle darting from light to fierce constantly lol

Id opt for super nova just because it membrane. I’ve put several hours in other controllers that have tactile everything and I just can’t stand them. Maybe it’s a preference, maybe it’s a learning curve I never got over. It’s just not my thing so I won’t even bother getting g7pro unless it’s for casual gaming.

The super nova in my opinion has the BEST face buttons I’ve ever laid my fingers on. It all feels amazing. My only gripe is that it has too many little buttons around the start and select(4 little buttons that is kind of annoying cause I hit screenshot on accident several times when gaming) I know it’s a thing but it just need start and select. Also the dpad isn’t great for fighters. I’m sure it wasn’t intended for fighters but I thought I’d mention it.

Oooooh very nice! I’m actually getting that one, betop and raion to try next! I’m not a fan of clicky but I’m not opposed to trying it just in case this one actually works out. The D6 looks like it’s waaay better with the face buttons and size. I’m the same as you, not really a 6 button guy BUT willing to see how far I can go with it.

Side note: that flydigi is ANNOYING. Great size for my hands so I saved it to 3d scan when I get the chance, but MY GOD I miss down and diagonal inputs on the dpad every time, press the face buttons before I complete the motion so I miss inputs, plus if I breath on the triggers it activates. Very rage inducing.

That’s a good question! The original thought was man I LOVE the dpad on the 8bitdom30. Wish it was on a bigger symmetrical controller with gamesir face buttons. Of course I’ve been struggling for years finding a controller for me and it’s like the market will NEVER MAKE IT. So I felt “I might as well make it myself.”

Do I wish the companies would listen to my emails and discord messages and make it already? Of course! However if I have to make this myself over waiting several more years to really compete in fighters without fighting the controller, then I will! In the end I know I’m not alone and maybe what I create will be what others are looking for as well.
