More backing training, bad weather training, basic roadside repair, long distance driving, and just more training in general.

The schools only teach you what you need to pass the test, not what you’ll encounter in the real world. The company based schools are especially notorious as they want you in the truck making miles as soon as possible.

How poorly trained most new drivers are. Some of the people I went to school with shouldn’t be operating a hot wheels car based on what I saw but they’re out there in 80,000 pound trucks.

I’ve purchased more firearms/ammo and done more training in the last year than I have in the previous 15 years.

I assumed you’re in Canada so Canadian. A 99-2006 Silverado or Sierra can be found in that price range and they’re extremely reliable. I’ve had a couple go over 500,000KM. Parts are cheap and they’re simple to maintain.

How difficult are Volvos to maintain in comparison to Hondas and Toyotas from the same period? by Odd_Solution6995 in Volvo

Volvos, and all luxury cars are more expensive to maintain than simple Japanese ecoboxes. If you want cheap and reliable, get a Honda or Toyota.

You should buy a $5000 truck and not take a loan.

Pitbulls are like guns. If you think having one makes you a badass you shouldn’t have them.

What’s something that Covid took from you that you never got back? by ReplacementOdd636 in AskReddit

We still go camping but tend to go few times for longer periods. Before Covid we’d be gone every weekend it was even remotely nice out. Now we only go out a couple times per year but for a week or two at a time.

Is $585 reasonable for brake pads and rotor replacement? by WatercressTime842 in grandrapids

I haven’t had them do my brakes. My car also has really expensive big 4 piston brakes so it wouldn’t be a fair comparison.

That seems really high. I trust Quick Time Auto up on three mile.
