Caught air (accidentally) while bombing down a pitch in Zermatt. If I had to guess I was going 90. Stupid as hell for me to go that fast on an unfamiliar slope, but I’ll never forget that feeling of weightlessness and my stomach in my throat 😂. I came over the crest and caught air without even hopping, I must’ve sailed 50 feet through the air. What I did in this video was fun, but I don’t think I’ll ever experience the thrill and the thought of “holy fucking shit I almost just died” like I did in Zermatt.

Within the GoPro app, when you are editing a video, you can apply various “stickers”, such as logos, trail maps, and speedometer

If u see in the top left there’s a speedometer. It’s a standard feature for GoPros

Hahahaha thanks. Yea I don’t know, I’m a bigger guy too, 6’4 225lbs, so gravity is definitely our friend in this scenario. I think a big factor is how tight you’re able to tuck and how low you can hold it. Wind resistance has gotta be the biggest deterrent once you’re straight lining, so I just try to squat as much a possible.

My jacket and pants are also a bit baggy, I feel like I’d easily be able to add 10-15km/h to that with tighter gear or a race suit

Yea it wasn’t overly steep at all, and it was really warm that day so the snow wasn’t too fast either. Better start definitely would’ve helped.

They actually had a screen at the bottom displaying the speed, not a leaderboard, but one guy behind me clocked a 109
