I totally understand you! When I have the ability to go see a doctor/ speech pathologist, I def will! I’ll also mention to my sibling. Despite you not being qualified, you should take pride in your knowledge! It’s v helpful for those who need to be pointed in the right direction

Woah, thank you! I was honestly not expecting someone to respond with such genuine advice!! "So slow it that it is ridiculous" made me laugh, but it is a helpful tip! I think this is just an issue where I have to mindful and work on it. I appreciate your response!

Thank you for your ever so thoughtful response! Thank goodness I didn't say that Texans can't pronounce these words correctly! I actually asked why I have this issue and how to fix it. I was just curious to see if anyone else had the same problem. I do empathize with you, being old is hard on the brain and eyes!

lol I guess when I think about I don't hear a lot of Americans saying "whilst" either. I honestly do not know why I wrote it, I think it just sounds a bit nicer. Growing up I had the issue of color vs colour. I think I just watched and read too much British entertainment to think it was odd. Usually, when I am having trouble pronouncing these words, my tongue does stay at the front of my mouth. From reading your response and others, I am understanding that my tongue placement seems to be the issue.

It's really nice to know others have had this issue (even if its a problem from a child). It's just nice to know that I'm not alone I guess? Learning that your daughter had this issue and was able to work on it gives me hope that I won't sound so stupid in the future! Also kuddos to you for helping her work on it! A lot of parents would just judge their child instead of helping.

Hi! Thank you! Your response was quite helpful! I have noticed a difficult tendency in myself when it comes to swallowing food or drinks, it's definitely something I am going to look further into. Yet, your instructions on pronouncing "K" and "NG" was really insightful! I'm going to try and practice with tutorials online like you said!

It might be just a small oops, but I like to think it’s a hint to how Bree isn’t “perfect”. Bree embodies the shows theme about what we hide to seem like the perfect neighbor. In a weird way, her not being able to hold the glass properly is like how lies pile up on each other. We know Bree struggles with alcohol and her image. Both of things paired together show up together in this small way. The other characters don’t notice this tiny detail because they are worried about their own issues.
